Any other food to order for my wife beside Ramen?

      A:

There are Kara age (fried chicken), takoyaki (octopus balls), and gyoza. These are all sort of like sides or appetizers. The takoyaki was excellent.

Can i make a reservation weeks in advance?

      A:

Unfortunately no. They do use yelp for the reservations in person but I don't think you can do through here in advance.

I've coming here for the Ramen for sometime and I tried their fried chicken for the first time the other day and it was incredible! Crispy and not overcooked really hot in the center and served as big pieces. Doesn't feel too greasy, taste great with the mayo. The chicken Patain Ramen is also tasty, more rich than a chicken noodle soup because it's Ramen and the broth is thick, but not as rich as the meat Ramen if you're trying to fight a cold or just feel like having a lighter fare that night; I order this one as takeout every time I'm not feeling great. They recently expanded next door to the original restaurant as the second sitdown option, which is nice.

Marufuku Ramen is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the cozy yet modern ambiance. The service was attentive, and the staff made sure I felt welcome and comfortable.

Now, let's talk about the ramen--it's out of this world! I tried the Spicy Tan Tan Ramen, and it was absolutely amazing! The spice level was just right, adding a perfect kick without overwhelming the flavors. The combination of the spicy, savory broth with the ground pork and noodles created a truly satisfying experience. If you love a bit of heat, this is a must-try! Not to mention they had my order ready within 5 minutes of ordering!!!

What really stood out was the attention to detail in every aspect of the dish. You can tell the chefs take pride in their craft, and it shows in the quality of the food. The portion sizes are generous, and you definitely get your money's worth.

Overall, Marufuku Ramen is a must-visit for any ramen lover. Whether you're a seasoned ramen aficionado or new to the scene, this place will not disappoint. I can't wait to come back and try more from their menu!

Haven't been to Japantown for a very long time. Since we are in the neighborhood on a Tuesday night, we decided to grab some yummy ramen at Marufuku.

Joined the waitlist and went to browse at the bookstore nearby. I think we have waited for about 10 mins and our table is ready.

The restaurant is bussing on a Tuesday night. Servers are all friendly. I see many solo diner which is awesome. Hubby got the DX and I got the regular. Don't let the bowl fools you. It holds SO MUCH yummy broths and noodles. Neither of us could finish our bowls.

We also got the chicken karaga. I would say it's good in terms of flavors. unfortunately, it's warm instead of pipping hot. It is very disappointing to have warm fried chicken. Very sad.

All in all, I would say it's a solid 4 stars ramen spot.

Some of the best ramen I've tried in the Bay Area. My group came on a weekend and it was really busy so we put our name down, and were sat within 30 minutes! I would recommend sticking around the restaurant as you get within 10 places from the top of the list because we were called earlier than I thought (you can walk around the mall and check your spot on the Yelp app!)

I ordered the tonkatsu with extra noodles for $1 and it was very filling and delicious. I would say that the extra noodles were unnecessary because they already give you a good size portion, but get them if you are very hungry! The egg was perfectly soft boiled, the broth was amazing, and the pork was delicious! 10/10 will come back here again (hopefully soon!)

Delicious! This place fills up QUICK, as they have specials that are sometimes limited to 15 servings per day. Get there right at opening (11 am) for the best seats. Staff is friendly and prompt- you are always checked in on by many, not just one server. Very helpful!

The Marufuku buns are fluffy, pork is seasoned perfectly and the sauce was saucing! Juicy and tasty.
Chicken paitan broth was milky and flavored perfectly, in-house made noodles cooked just right of course.
They always offer amazing beer selections, and I highly recommend the Sorry Umami IPA. It's not fishy despite being made with bonito flakes!

Always on our list of spots to visit when we drop into Japantown. Can't wait to go back.

Marufuku is one of the best ramen places in the city! You usually have to wait to get a table but we came for lunch on a week day and were seated right away.

I've been here a few times before and usually get their tonkotsu but I wanted to try something different so I got their special which was a half tonkotsu broth and half chicken. The broth was so flavorful. The noodles were thicker than their normal ones but still very delicious. The egg was perfectly jammy.

Service was really prompt and friendly too.

Definitely a must try spot if you like ramen!

I was too hungry to take decent pics of their ramen bowls. But this place is a gem inside Japan town. It's a small place and the line is long. Get your name on the waitlist , go shopping at Daiso and come back in 30 mins. Wonderful service, and delicious ramen! I got the spicy tonkastu. You can pick the kind of noodles you want. I got the curly yellow noodles. My kids got the crunchy karage chicken. . They loved it. My party also got the spicy noodles and the rice bowls. Everyone loved their respective dishes.

Best ramen in San Francisco! We ordered the ika karaage, chicken karaage and gyoza to start--our favorites for the starters were the two karaage dishes, gyoza was just ok. The regular tonkotsu and tonkotsu DX dishes were amazingly good-broth is at a wonderful consistency of not being too thick nor too thin and super flavorful; the meat in these dishes also just perfect. The Kid's meal is the best we've seen from any restaurant ever--well-balanced, kid loves it and is the right size.
Once you are seated, be ready for a super efficient service-ordering process is very fast, and food comes out almost instantaneously. That being said, servers are friendly and helpful and do not rush you at all-they are just a very well run restaurant.
Ambiance is casual, relaxed and fun and being located in Japan Town adds to the authentic feel of the place. Highly recommend!
