Established in 2006. Mojo Coffee House began with its flagship neighborhood shop on Magazine Street in 2006, and expanded to include a second location on Freret Street in 2012. One of the first coffee shops in New Orleans to introduce hand crafted pour over methods, Mojo Coffee House is known for being a community meeting spot and offering a cup of coffee to suit anyone's needs. It's the perfect place to catch up with friends, do a little reading, or just soak in the atmosphere. Both locations are open Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. and Saturday - Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m

love this spot and love even more that it's open late !!! came through twice while on vacation to nola from portland and this place lives up to my snob-like portland standard of coffee!!! lovely staff here and big fan of what they're putting out. not much experimental that i saw, but folks, if it ain't broke! would love to relax here for the day to study/work from home. plenty of spacious tables to spread out your work load, and it seems that this is the spot people are doing their work from, as almost everyone here had their laptop out, a relic of the past! (portland actually does not have laptops anymore. we only use our niche underground smart contact lenses and go out to coffee for goat yoga) love the community atmosphere here and looks like a great spot to advertise your events to the neighborhood as well.
TL;DR: no-frills coffee that lives up to the standard of some who loves frilled coffee!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 18, 2024
Being a tea drinker in a coffee-forward world is often full of drink disappointment: over steeped, under steeped, "iced" teas that are barely cold tea-flavored water with a few drops of dairy.
Not so at Mojo! This NOLA favorite made me a life-affirming London Fog (Earl Grey latte). I sipped it whilst ambling down Magazine Street and it made my afternoon.Helpful 7Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 0 - Feb 10, 2024
Came here based on a recommendation, I wanted some really good coffee. I ordered a dirty chai, it was so flavorful.
Some of there coffee is from Guatemala, I got some espresso for my coffee machine at home. They even grind them up for me.
They offer free Wi-Fi, I plugged in my laptop charger in the many available sockets. The staff are really nice here.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 18, 2024
I've been wanting to try this place every time I've passed by! So yesterday I did! Boy was it worth it! The coffee was delicious! The lemonade was meh... the chorizo burrito was F@$&ing delicious! Omg I'm still thinking about it! I couldn't get a pic because my son and I inhaled it! Oh yeah the service was very good as well! They were kind and informative!

Mojo Coffee House on Magazine Street in New Orleans is a true gem that I had the pleasure of visiting recently. From the moment I walked through the door, I was captivated by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The rustic decor and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee set the stage for a delightful experience.
Now, let's talk about the coffee. I ordered the caramel cappuccino, and it was an absolute delight. The rich, robust coffee was expertly combined with just the right amount of caramel sweetness, creating a perfect balance. It was like a warm, comforting hug in a cup. The barista's skill was evident in every sip, and it's clear that they take pride in their craft.
But the real star of the show was the pork shoulder and boudin breakfast burrito. This dish was a revelation. The combination of tender, flavorful pork shoulder and the unique addition of boudin sausage created a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. The burrito was generously portioned and incredibly satisfying. The Cajun influence was unmistakable and added a distinctive twist to the breakfast classic.
What made this visit even more special was the location. Magazine Street is a beautiful neighborhood in New Orleans, and Mojo Coffee House fits right in. The cozy, yet vibrant atmosphere of the cafe, coupled with the picturesque surroundings, made for an unforgettable morning. I felt like I was truly experiencing a slice of local life in the heart of this charming city.
The service at Mojo Coffee House was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and passionate about their offerings. They were more than happy to answer my questions and provide recommendations, which added to the overall welcoming vibe of the place.
In conclusion, my visit to Mojo Coffee House was nothing short of sublime. The caramel cappuccino and the pork shoulder and boudin breakfast burrito were both exceptional, and the ambiance of the cafe in this beautiful New Orleans neighborhood was the icing on the cake. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Mojo Coffee House for a taste of their exquisite coffee and culinary delights. It's a place where you can savor the essence of Cajun culture in every sip and bite.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1136471280Aug 10, 2023
Worth a try if you're around the area. It's a good, standard coffee spot. The inside space is huge and I saw a few people working there so definitely a good spot to get some stuff done. It's a bit of a darker vibe with the dark wood and less natural light flowing in but still welcoming.
I got the nola iced coffee which is their cold brew with chicory and cream. I got it unsweetened and didn't feel like it needed sweetener, which is good.
Others in my group got lattes which they enjoyed as well as a danish and a breakfast burrito. They liked the danish and the burrito was stuffed with meat.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 241307118Dec 30, 2023
We got coffee -- and sometimes breakfast burritos -- here every day while staying in the neighborhood for a week over Christmas. The staff were very friendly and quickly welcomed my husband and our dog every morning as new friends.
Coffee including espresso drinks (flat white for him, latte for me) were always delicious.
There's also a really wide selection of interesting sweet and savory pastries on offer. On our last day, we finally caved and got a Nutella croissant, which was delicious. Bacon breakfast burritos were tasty -- but we'd definitely recommend getting them some hot sauce!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Monte Y.Baton Rouge, LA934936Dec 27, 2023
My wife and I stopped in here on a Sunday evening while we were killing time for our dinner reservation. The baristas were engaging and friendly, and they pulled some great shots!
Typical for anything on Magazine Street, the parking was tough, but that's not a negative when it comes to good coffee, and Mojo definitely delivered. The roast was very smooth, with a few other flavor notes, and we thoroughly enjoyed our brews.
She had a cortado, and was very pleased. I had my traditional americano, and wasn't disappointed at all.
In my next visit I want to try one of their burritos... they have quite a selection.
The crowd was low on a Sunday evening, but I can imagine the spot fills up during the week. There are plenty of tables, and the open warehouse feel is comfortable.
I'll definitely be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 912317801Oct 14, 2023
My partner & I have worked from this Mojo (and the other on Feret), multiple times. The WiFi is fast, there's a lot of seating, lots of outlets, quiet enough to wfh because usually others are reading, studying, or doing the same!
The staff is typically nice, the ambiance is inviting, and the pastries are quite good too! The last few time I had muffins they weren't dry (yay!) and had good flavor to them.
While Mojo isn't my top coffee shop in new orleans, I still think it offers everything a person could want from a coffee shop! I'll be back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
