Food is amazing, lively ambience, mojito is one of the best I had. I had the pork tamales and it's unbelievable. Cuban sandwich is off the chart

Great restaurant in Little Havana next to Domino Park.
I sat outside and enjoyed the nice Cuban group they had singing and playing the drums .
I enjoyed a passion fruit mojito which is a must when you come here . I ate steak with tostones which is my go to meal at Cuban restaurants and it did not disappoint . All three waiters were so friendly and took great care of me ..
The oldest restaurant here but so worth every penny I spent .Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sali W.New York, NY01Jul 13, 2024

I had a fantastic meal at Old's Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina, trying their Cuban sandwich. It was perfectly toasted with flavorful, tender pork and just the right amount of pickles and mustard. The ambiance was vibrant and full of energy, capturing the essence of Cuban culture. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly and made sure I had a great dining experience.

If you're looking for an authentic Cuban experience, Old Havana Cuban Bar is an absolute must! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the vibrant, authentic décor that immediately transported us to Cuba.
For appetizers, we had the croquetas and fried pork chunks with mojo--oh my, that mojo sauce was addicting! We couldn't get enough of it. For dinner, I went all out with the camarones al ajillo and bistec de palomilla, both served with black beans, rice, and plantains. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and the portions were generous.
We chose to sit outside, and it was perfect. The location, right near Domino Park, added to the lively and cultural atmosphere, making the whole experience even better. The service was top-notch, adding to the overall fantastic evening.
I can't recommend Old Havana Cuban Bar enough--if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check it out! You won't be disappointed!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Delphine B.Las Vegas, NV3356Jul 26, 2024
Best Cuban food I've had so far!
We also loved the fresh sugarcane sticks in the mojitos.
Very please back garden room, and the music out front was fun and inviting.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Hansel M.FL, FL27598431Jul 26, 2024Updated review
From the lively front, and sidewalk seating, filled with the sounds of Cuba, to the charming backyard terraza perfect for gatherings, this Little Havana gem consistently delivers.
The Cuban food is amazing, though portions could be a tad more generous. Not a pricey place.
Its central location makes it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Cuban flavors in the heart of Miami.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Jan 19, 2020Previous reviewIt was very upsetting to not be able to get the table you want to when the place was beginning to die down and three tables were available. You're in the hospitable business... to say no to anything is to not be hospitable.

The live music draws you in on a late night in Calle ocho. We were just bar hopping and got some appetizers to go with our drinks. The back area where we were seated was missing live music because you can hear the live music in the front. Our server was attentive and friendly. Adding misters and adding live music in the back would make this place 5stars.

If you find yourself in Little Havana, make sure to visit this spot, especially for its charming outdoor seating area. Despite the humidity, they had ample fans to keep you cool, and the beautiful jungle vibe and ambiance were worth experiencing.
The staff were very friendly, and we all enjoyed delicious cocktails. I personally loved the mango Mojito. While the food did take some time to arrive, its taste certainly justified the wait.
They make birthdays special here, we witnessed several celebrations around us where the entire staff sang and treated guests to a tres leches cake. While the cake was very sweet and not to my taste, it's a thoughtful gesture if you're celebrating your birthday.
There are many places to explore in Little Havana but this spot offers a little taste of Havana's vibes, culture, and cuisine.Helpful 12Thanks 4Love this 9Oh no 0 - Jul 2, 20241 check-in
Old's Havana Cuban Bar and Cocina in Little Havana, Miami, offers a fantastic culinary journey through authentic Cuban flavors. I came on a Monday dinner during their Happy Hour, running from 4 PM to 7 PM Monday-Thursday.
Ambiance:
The outdoor concept is charming. From the moment I arrived for a Monday dinner, I was welcomed with live music. However, be prepared to share your meal with flies. Despite this, the overall vibe is inviting, and there were plenty of available tables during my visit.
Food:
The food at Old's Havana is nothing short of spectacular, from their generous portions, vibrant flavors, and affordability. Here's what I tried:
1. Vitrola ($16.95):
A must-order. This sampler platter is perfect for sharing and offers a taste of various Cuban appetizers. The croquettes, tamales, empanada, crispy roasted pork, plantain chips, and yuca fries, served with two dipping sauces, provided a wonderful introduction to the diverse flavors of Cuban food.
2. Pina Colada Mocktail ($6.50):
Refreshing and not overly sweet nor acidic, the blend of pineapple juice and creamy coconut made for a delightful drink that paired well with the rest of the savory dishes.
3. Passion Fruit Mojito ($6.95, Happy Hour):
A standout drink with a burst of passion fruit flavor. The presentation was appealing, and the taste of sugar cane juice made it extra unique.
4. Cuban Sandwich ($11.95):
Absolutely the best Cuban sandwich I've ever tasted. The meat-packed sandwich was perfectly complemented by the buttery, fragrant bread, and the balance of cheese and mustard was spot on. Highly recommended!
5. Soup of the Day (+$2 with Cuban Sandwich):
This potato beef stew was a comforting and flavorful addition, offering complex tastes that made it well worth the extra cost.
6. Buns Con Carnitas ($6, Happy Hour):
Tender pork with crispy bits, perfectly balanced by the acidity of pickles.
Service:
While the food and drinks were exceptional, the service didn't start great. Despite the restaurant having plenty of available tables, we were first seated in a high-traffic hallway, where the staff bumped into each other and dropped things trying to seat us in that space. After requesting to move, we were given a table outside in a dark corner with a wobbly surface. It took three attempts to finally secure a stable, well-located table. Despite this rocky start, our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, which ultimately redeemed the service experience.
Overall, Old's Havana Cuban Bar and Cocina is a gem for those seeking authentic Cuban cuisine in a vibrant setting. The food is outstanding, with generous portions and rich, complex flavors that make every dish a delight. Despite a few hiccups with seating and the presence of flies, the overall experience was highly enjoyable, and I would 100% return.Helpful 4Thanks 2Love this 4Oh no 0 - May 8, 2024
This place was lively when I walked by and had to stopped in to try it out. It's a pretty tight squeeze and it was busy. There's tables along the front which caught my eye but think they were only for couples or group. I was offered a seat at the bar which was quite nice. The bartender had their job cut out for them. They were constantly making drinks left and right. The popular drinks seemed to be the mojitos, Cuban version.
I went with the Cuban mule which was quite nice. Of course, had to try the Cuban sandwich with a side of plantains. The food was great. Sandwich was quite tasty and portion well with the meat and cheese. A side of the plantains were nice but could have been more.
Service was nice along the bar. Bartenders were very nice and quite amazing at what they do. Downfall, I saw one the of the waiter with a tray of starters literally sneeze right into them and proceeded to take it to whomever.Helpful 5Thanks 2Love this 4Oh no 0
