Car shopping is so hard. I visited 7 different dealerships and they chase you down to your last breath. One Toyota in Oakland was my last stop before I gave up -- and I'm telling you right now, just go here and shop. They are so chill, they wait for you to come to them. They don't chase after you and suffocate you while you're just trying to look, they just let you be until you're ready to ask questions and help.
Ask for Caleb!!!! He was SO kind and truly so helpful. He didn't pressure me in getting the most expensive car. He listened to what I was looking for, my budget, and all my concerns. He did the best he could and I was so impressed with how calm he was, especially when car shopping is so stressful.
I cannot thank Caleb enough. After shopping at 7 dealerships prior to One Toyota, you can see the routine and how much everyone tries to take all your money. The way Caleb handled my sale was a breath of fresh air. Definitely recommend this place!! When it's time to get another car, I will forsure be coming back and also recommending all my friends to come here.

I paid 299 dollars in January 2022 for Toyota Autocare (5 services in 2 years). That was a good deal.
2.5 years later, it's jumped to 459 dollars (extra for a Tundra).
That's a 18% increase per year. A lot more than the inflation but ok, it is what it is. I wouldn't have left such a 2-star review if it had stopped there.
But, to add insult to injury, they added a 2.8% credit card processing fee. And they didn't tell me until I picked up the truck, so I was unable to get cash first. The excuse was that credit cards charge them a lot. They said it's only for charges over $250.
If you are going to increase your rates by 18% a year, you should absorb the credit card cost, not complain about how your fees are going up.

My appt for maintenance was at 3. I came in at 2:45 bc I thought this was a business where being early meant something. I was told by the attendant to pull in to lane 3. I sat in the car and didn't hear anything from anyone for 10min. I flagged down the bum Alex and wasted my time on him. I sat in my car for another 30min until I was seen by Matt. Very cool dude and made up for the wait. Not just the wait in the beginning, but the wait in the end too. Matt told me that Services closes at 5. I had a feeling I wasn't gonna get the car on time and I was right. Ended up getting the car back at 5:30. But I know that's not Matt's fault. Make sure to read per line item of what the work order is before they submit the work order. I explained the battery was dead and to check the electrical system bc light on dashboard stayed on. We were charged $457 for a new battery an 1 1/2 hour labor to install it. Nothing to check electrical system. Told me to return twice and did not check for anything else. Customer service /supervisor will blame you for the work order you did not type instead of asking how to resolve issue which could have made them more money.

While you could see One Toyota of Oakland from the freeway, they are a bit hidden away after you get off the freeway. There are some eateries in the plaza across the street as well. Service is usually hit or miss, depending on your advisor.
On this particular visit, I did my routine maintenance / a multi-point inspection, and ended up changing 2 tires and getting a new battery as well. I made an appointment first thing in the morning for 7 AM to ensure that I would be in and out within 3 hours like usual. Anyway, my advisor was Chase on this visit - I had him several times before and he is always friendly, great, and helpful.
Chase asked if I need to use a ride somewhere (they have complimentary rides to places up to a certain milage with a ride back to the dealership after as well), which I usually take up this offer and go to the gym nearby for a workout, while they work on my car, but I declined this time because he said it would only be about 2ish hours. I brought my laptop with me this time to kill some time.
I was about 3 hours in when I received a text about my battery needing to be replaced, which I agreed to and I was told that it would not take that long. I was still there for almost another 2 hours, until I went to the front to check in about the status. A different employee helped me and he was nice, he led me to the cashier to pay - the cashier was not that friendly, as she was a bit rude. After paying, I went to get my car and was handed my key by Chase, then I was on my way. When I got my car, I had to clean up a bit, as they left the plastic seat covering on and paper floor mat there. I also did not get a new sticker for my next maintenance on my windshield.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Feb 5, 2024Previous reviewOne Toyota of Oakland is a bit hidden away after you get off the freeway, but you can see them clearly from the freeway. There are a bunch of eateries that is walkable nearby as well. There were a few times where I got a complimentary ride from here to the gym nearby and right back to the dealership after, so that was convenient to get my workout in, while waiting for my maintenance/service to be done. When I do come here, I usually try to drop my car off first thing in the morning, so it would be ready in about 3 hours or so. Most of the employees were helpful with a couple of exceptions, who were not the most friendly or helpful.

I've been meaning to write this review for quite some time. It feels like just yesterday when I purchased my car here, and I was under the impression I had already shared my positive experience. The sales process was a breeze, thanks to my sales representative who maintained constant communication with me until my car delivered to the . His patience was commendable as he navigated through my myriad of questions, always with a helpful and friendly demeanor. I've taken my car back for routine servicing on two occasions, and each time, the process was seamless, thanks to their efficient appointment system. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone.

My husband purchased our Sienna minivan at One Toyota of Oakland - certified pre-owned with warranty. We had an unusual issue with the trunk within a year of purchasing the vehicle and I called the service department and spoke with Carlos, the service manager. I explained the situation, he told me to bring it in the next day so he could take a look. He made the process so easy - he honored the warranty, took care of the issue immediately, and provided a loaner vehicle. The rest of the staff was very courteous and efficient too. I was really impressed by the experience and would go back to One Toyota of Oakland for service or to purchase a vehicle in a heart beat. Thanks Carlos!

Victoria at One Toyota sold my partner and me our Prius and she not only made the process super easy and transparent but she was SUCH a joy to work with as a person. She was able to answer all of our questions and make us laugh as well. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Victoria was the reason we ultimately decided to purchase our vehicle at One Toyota! Save yourself the time & trouble. Go somewhere else. This place is so beyond disorganized. I leased a vehicle from them 4 weeks ago, & in that time frame they've made me resign a contract 3 times. Their staff was harassing me for the past 5 days (multiple calls/texts) due to their own error. I will not return nor recommend this dealership to anyone.
