During our Bourbon St, French Quarters and I apologize but don't know all the neighbourhoods over here, night out, we stumbled upon this place between our brewery trek and our walk over to Bourbon St. We weren't sure what this was but there were lots of people going into a bright light area.
We started this side quest and it looks like a cool little strip with art vendors and snacks. We may have missed the drinks - this would have been a great spot for some, but there were many booths out selling various items. It's not huge, but there's a decent amount of vendors out here. I think most of the people were saw were selling art though.
Had a chat with some of the vendors and they were all super nice. There were a few video game pieces that caught my eye but I didn't end up buying anything. If you're looking for some local vendors with some interesting art, drop by here! I'm unfortunately not sure what nights this place is open. It could be every night but I was definitely here over the weekend.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 4263442452Jan 5, 2024
Stumbled across this market on a weekday evening around 7! They're open everyday except tuesday from 6pm-12am! Super cute market with lots of booths selling a variety of art! The set up is organized, and the lights from booth to booth are very aesthetic.
The artists are very nice when you stop by! A lot of booths have deals for pieces, like 1 for $10 and 2 for $15 etc. there's wall art, accessories, sculptures, glass art, and much more! It's really cool to see how talented local artists are!
There was a good amount of people at the market, but it was still easy to navigate booth to booth. There's also a resting area towards the back with two sofas and a chess table for those who are interested! Would definitely recommend going to support local artists!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ashley P.Pearl, MS6183Jun 24, 2024
We got several great prints here and met a few interesting characters to say the least! This has become a must with every visit we make to NOLA!

Yes! Why go to Bourbon street when you can go to Frenchman for music? I had such a great time in this area.

Late night, yes.
Goods and services, well yeah!
Drinks, well it wouldn't be Norleans without it!
And so we land ourselves at the Palace Market across from the music/bar area of Frenchman Street in Norleans! This place is just truly a gem. How many markets do you know of where you have art, food, drink and just about anything you could imagine available for purchase? And best of all they run it during prime time staying open till at 1 am if not later! I was floored and amazed with the entire concept. They have it down pat.
We wound up buying some local memorabilia from a vendor there. He was so kind as to hold our goods till we finished at the bar. Southern hospitality at its finest, again! I'd come back to this market in a flash. It really was all that.
Not much else to say but just get here if your ever in the area. It;'s about as unique as they come.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 1 - 2286851100Mar 4, 2018
What a gem!!
I stepped inside this extremely hip, cool market last night and was blown away by how creative some of the merchandise was. So many beautiful handmade creations - from jewelry to artwork to these cool art lamps made of vintage or antique musical instruments and NOLA reclaimed bargeboard - I loved everything! And every vendor that I met was so personable. I was encouraged to pick up items for a closer look. Where else do you get that?'
And it was so clean!
I'm impressed and can't wait to stop by again.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Lucy M.Queens, NY20320175800Dec 10, 2019
New Orleans has so many great souvenirs that just seem to find their way to you, so I don't usually go shopping on purpose but my friend wanted to poke around so I followed. That's when I found my Tina Butts.
Tina, from Bob's Burgers. Just a little portrait but it really speaks to me, me and Tina have a lot in common and I'd like to think that when she's older we'd be good friends.
Joe Badon is the artist and he only asked a very reasonable $15 for this beauty. The shading on the butts is really nice!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
