Q:
Do they allow walk-ins for parties of two or do they always require a reservation?
A:
I haven't tried it, but I can't imagine they wouldn't accept 2 people walking in if there was space.

Everything about this place was perfect. My brother and I ate there last night. Tuna crudo was fresh and perfectly seasoned. His chicken liver pate was delicious with a perfect balance of savory and sweet. Then came the stunning mains. He had the Papardelle. I had the rabbit and sweet potato gnocchi. Every bite melted in my mouth. We both kept saying that this was food we would remember for a long time to come. I was so grateful the lady looking after us recommended the rabbit to me. She was so kind to us all evening and really knew her stuff. Great lighting and nice noise level. Like I said, everything was perfect.

Autumn was kind enough to squeeze us in on a busy Saturday night.
Sat at the bar, where Chloe dazzled us with tantalizingly tasteful bevs. I had some sort of ginger beer, strawberry sizzurp & smashed sage magic ish...I don't even know, but it was refreshingly fresh.
At one point she asked how is everything? To which I blurted out, "f#cking delicious." Now I must clarify, I didn't use that word because I have no better words than an expletive to adjectate, I simply meant your food enters my mouth hole and has sex with my tongue, and each bite is a taste of love making. From the moment we enter the restaurant, to the flirting appetizer, to the chef, prep-cook and team muscling through a dance in the kitchen. This food is made for my tongue and my tongue made for it. Each bite is a ballet dancer being caught in the arms of another dancer and tippy-toed off the plate to the side of the stage. Eating and drinking is an art, and Paladar 511 is a museum of masterful crafted beverages, thank you Chloe and "Southern Mass bangs with window tattooed on her bicep."
Couldn't have asked for a better taste bud journey.
Start: Hamachi Crudo, served with strawberries - yes, please and thank you!
Arancini - when I cut it open I forgot that it came with short rib ragu inside. Thanks for the surprise birthday party in my talk-box.
Headliner for tonight's concert was Wagyu Flat Iron Steak (perfectly medium rare). Hats off to the chef. And if you know me, you know that's a compliment because I never take my hat off.

My friend and I stopped here during a parade. We were seated immediately and the food was prepared very quickly.
Appetizers:
The Carpaccio is served with fried oysters. It was my absolute favorite dish. The oysters, greens, cheese and beef all married well together. It was the perfect amount of saltiness, I give it 10/10.
The Arancini is tomato-y, and has a very crispy shell. Inside- there's soft rice.
Main:
The Crispy Chicken was big enough to share amongst 2.
Really cool, modern Italian restaurant. Great for date night because it's intimate; or for celebrations because it's modern and inviting. Make reservations because seating fills up very quickly. There's street parking.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 28, 2024
I took my mom here for her birthday. I've heard nothing but great things and we were both impressed! We had split an appetizer, had two cocktails and each had an entree and it was very reasonably priced. Our res was at a peak time Saturday night and the staff handled it very well. I highly recommend the bread service! While it was busy, it wasn't overly loud.
I cannot wait to go back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 19, 2024
I loved the vibe of Paladar 511 and the ambiance here was very hipster and artsy. Food was also pretty great. We shared the Cacio E Pape, Roasted Mushroom Pizza, and the Ravioli all Norma. The highlight of my meal though was the dessert - I loved the blueberry pie that was topped off with ice cream. I really enjoyed the vibe of the place and the service was great and all of the servers were always checking up on us. Hope to explore more of the menu one day int he future!

Stopped here for dinner with friends during our stay in NOLA--would recommend!
Great wine selection, enjoyed our prosecco.
Cornmeal bread was tasty! So was the arancini.
Food was all very tasty. The restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 17, 2024
My friend brought me here for dinner my first night in New Orleans, and I left absolutely stuffed.
We ordered a few different things to share with the table. My favorites were the pork belly, local lettuces, and the farm egg pizza. We also had the squid ink spaghetti and the graham cake...honestly, everything was perfect. So good.
The place was packed, but it was quiet enough that we could still talk without yelling. The server was great. Overall, everything was wonderful.
I loved everything about this place! Adding this to one of my favorites!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Crazy B.Baton Rouge, LA23573Jun 13, 2024
This place is extraordinary. The ambiance is cool, open and inviting. There is an upstairs balcony that we were lucky enough to sit on for our first visit and it did not disappoint. The chef works in front of house so you can watch him cook and it's absolutely mesmerizing. Now onto the food!
I had the sea bass, my partner got the pork saltimbocca and we split the pappardelle pasta. I honestly don't know how to describe it. It was a spiritual experience. The sea bass was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. The pappardelle was fresh, perfectly cooked and even had a bit of spice that we weren't expecting but found it to be a wonderful flavor composition. The Pork Saltimbocca though. WOW. One of the best things I've ever tasted. Needless to say our plates were cleared and we ache to return. Highly recommend!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 13, 2024
I visited here for the first time today during brunch with a group of ladies. I was able to find street parking not far away. I ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Benedict and I switched the poached egg for a scrambled egg. I also had the passion fruit mimosa. The Benedict was good but the slight char taste from the corn bread layer threw off the overall taste for me a bit. The mimosa was good. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was chill. I would return.

Oh my, so good. Service great. Cocktails fab. And the food most excellent. Great find on an Erev JazzFest evening. Started with the Fried oysters which were fried with a tasty cornmeal but not dried out. Had the flatiron steak, 6.5 ozs of red meat marvelousness. And my sazerac was sweet but not too sweet, aromatic and so good. Reserve now.

I can't believe this will be the first review I have left for Paladar.! I've eaten here like three times this year alone and even more last. One thing I can always depend on when I dine here is to have a great meal. My go to has always been the crudo or the squid ink spaghetti to start and the snapper as my main. It's nice because although I always go for the snapper, I never get the same entree twice. The vegetable and grains change seasonally which is lovely. Service is pleasant and so is the ambiance. I appreciate the warm lighting after staring into computer monitors every week. I can go on, but you get the jiist. Will return soon.
