I have been going to this Resturaunt for years every time I go to Dallas. This is one of Dallas' top places for fine dining. They have the best steaks, appetizers, seafood and desserts.
Everything here is delicious. The steak melts in your mouth and is so good there is no need for additional seasoning nor sauces.
Would highly recommend and place this Resturaunt in your lists of must go!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robert M.Irving, TX0144233Aug 9, 2024
Happened upon "Restaurant Week 2024" by accident. They had a $59 and $99 option, both three courses.
I chose the iceberg slab (aka wedge), 10 oz filet w/jumbo prawn, and turtle mousse tart from their $99 menu.
The "slab" had some interesting flavors, perhaps a bit heavy on the toppings / cheese, the filet was cooked perfectly medium rare and the prawn DEFINITELY was "jumbo"--initially I thought they were bringing me a lobster tail!
I believe the desserts were a smaller portion than normal and that was a good thing. More than enough / needed.
Great classic steakhouse atmosphere with fantastic service.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael F.CA, CA071Jul 23, 2024
OK, but not worth the price.
The pleasant company of the attendants was something from a 1930's film, they were 1930's polite and they even made a new filet minion for my mom when she didn't want salt on it.
But the filet minion was not tasty. It was undercooked, along with the bone in ribeye I had ordered. It was under Denny's quality steak. The waitress recommended I have the medium rare and when it came in, the steak was again undercooked. Most of the fat wasn't rendered and I had definitely had tastier steak at home when buying from Costco or stator bros. One piece, about 2cm^3, was excellently rendered with a crunchy crust. But 80-90% of the steak, I swear I could have cooked it better.
I had a small "glass of wine", about 200ml of wine for 17$. It was from Tuscany, and I couldn't tell the difference between this wine and the cheap 5$ wine I bought at smart and final, in Los Angeles.
I also had "steak fries", and they were not spiced, very plain. No salt or pepper, I'm not sure if this is the standard of this place. Maybe it's customary at fancy restaurants to flavor your own food. I had better at tgi Fridays.
The Caesar salad was phenomenal and the bread and butter was excellent, it was up to the quality of an expensive fancy restaurant.
The manager didn't charge us for the filet minion since it didn't have any spice on it. I think they are trying to improve.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 513371685Jul 25, 2024
We tried a variety of food for a table of 4. All the sides we had were delicious - mac and cheese, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. The sides are all family size and shareable. The lamb and rib eye were cooked perfectly - but they lacked flavor. The key like pie was delicious. The service was fantastic. Free valet parking.

Fantastic high end steak house.
It's a splurge for sure, but if you are comfortable with an expensive restaurant then you know you get what you pay for.
The entrance was beautiful
Service was excellent
Food exceptional
Started with delightful bread for the table. It was warm and the crust was crisp without being too firm.
Salad didn't just have bacon but it came out hot, not warm with an amazingly delicious vinaigrette.
Filet was tender and cooked to a perfect medium for me.
Desserts were so rich we couldn't finish them, but got a box and enjoyed them later.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3744771416Feb 4, 2024Updated review
I want to say too, that this is my favorite restaurant of all times and update my last review as Pappas Bros. cares about their customers, the quality of food and service they provide. It was a nice touch that corporate and the restaurants management reached out to me to discuss my last visit and encouraged me to visit again.
People, this was impressive and is what makes Pappas Bros. Restaurants stand above the rest. Thank you for your high standards and for reaching out.
See you soon!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

You know you are always going to get a great meal and service when you arrive. Today, I am here early beating the crowd so maybe a little senior eating early added to this.
Hubs is out of town and I have been craving a nice meal so what not, I am not celebrating that is is working just that I can without out him. That's ok, right!
The bartenders are friendly and a cut above, come in and say hi to Brandon and Alex.
Why am I here, for the Lobster! I have been thinking about planning a trip to Boston just to eat my weight in Lobster, this is the cheaper route.
A three pounder is always hard to finish but so good and
The lobster is server with this July butter sauce and of course the heater butter drippings. So amazing, fresh flavor. No need for any lemon or anything else, just enjoy.
Now for my comparison of Trulucks and Bobs Chop house for Lobster, skip ordering from these Restaurants. If you want fresh Lobster come to Pappas.
I'll be back!!!Apr 14, 2019Previous reviewOk, you ask why 3 stars well this review is of the Lobster only. Last year, I ate here at least 3 times and I always order the Lobster 3 pounder and the last time I was here in December compared to this visit it was meh! In December, the lobster was huge and had this freshness that I had never tasted. I was told they had a new supplier and it was over the top. This visit the lobster was smaller and the claw meat was the size of shrimp and while it was good it was hard to beat what they served me in December 2018.
I am soooooooooooo spoiled. How do I get the same Lobster that I ate in December?Dec 26, 2017Previous reviewAmazing Experience! My all time favorite place to enjoy a wonderful meal and dining experience. We have eaten here on a few occasions and each experience was over the top.
From the time you are greeted in the parking lot to the reception, by the bartenders, and the wait staff. They all deserve 10 stars, in my opinion.
We liked waiting in the bar for our table; they make a great Cosmopolitan and when they came around looking for us they had a sign with our name on it; so cool! Maybe I am just easily impressed but I thought it was a super nice touch.
I love lobster and on one occasion I ordered a 3 Pound Lobster shelled. It was huge with very large claw meat. I had to take 1/2 of it home. Tip-if you do this then place it in foil with lots of butter, seal it and warm in the toaster oven for 10 min. It tastes just like it did in the restaurant.
The next time I ordered Lobster the claw meat was very small. I felt cheated and ate the entire lobster so what does that tell you. I only wish I had said something but the polite person that I am I didn't say anything but I am still a fan as it was the BEST Lobster I have ever eaten.
Now they are a steakhouse 1st and while there are many choices my husband ordered the 24oz. Porterhouse and it was tender and flavorful.
Am planning my next visit and can't wait. My tip in case you did not make reservations is to get there early in the evening and you will not have any issue getting seated otherwise make reservations.
Super fan! - May 28, 2024
Walking in, I immediately felt the traditional Steakhouse Interior with Texas flair. They have a giant display case that shows off all their finest cuts of meat. Theres a lounge area with a pianist playing popular retro pop in cocktail lounge style.
There was a dedicated server just serving water, so my glass was always full throughout the night. Our waitress did a fine job dealing with my parents as well as checking in on us. Pacing of the meal is stretched out and slower than I personally like, but this is a heavy meal.
The Caesar Salad was fine, but there wasn't much to be excited about. The garlic croutons weren't very crunchy nor prominent. The main flavor was the oil from the dressing and the parmesan cheese. While I was happy with the portion they gave, I felt it wasn't worth what they were charging.
They give you a huge loaf of fresh baked bread and a slab of butter that was quite satisfying, but also fills you up easily.
I ordered the 16 0z dry aged prime ribeye, and it was just OK. The fat wasn't rendered as well as it could have been, there wasn't much of a crust, and there were parts of it that felt stringy rather than a quality cut of meat. Flavor wise, their dry age process didn't bring much of a beefy flavor, but rather a watery funky smell. They use some garlic butter on top that distracted rather than enhanced the meal. This would have been fine if I made the steak myself at home, but once again the cost doesn't match the value. And Ive had other dry aged steaks from other places. This isn't a matter of me not liking dry age. I love dry aged steaks, but what I was served was not at all memorable.
The green beans were 20% firm and crispy, while the other 80% were somewhat limp. There was no char or seasoning other than salt. The butter they had was the only other flavor beyond the earthy green taste of green beans.
The onion rings were a travesty! They took the outer most layer of the onion, which has the texture of a wet lasagna noodle once cooked. The batter barely had any flavor and it slipped off completely from the onion. Absolutely not worth getting here!
The crab mac and cheese was actually pretty damn good! Usually the seafood in these types of dishes are inferior quality to what you would normally get as an entrée. Not in this case! The crab was bright, fresh, and pronounced over the reasonable amount of cheese flavor and density of the dish. Granted, its something you could easily get full on, so be careful with how quickly you scarf this down.
The potatoes au gratin were not the best Ive had, but they were a solid execution. There seemed to be a even proportion of all ingredients. The potatoes could have been slightly softer in the middle, but that's more of a personal preference to an overall comforting and familiar dish.
Their cheesecakes are huge! They are meant to be shared or take home as leftovers. Unfortunately theres not much flavor to them. Yes they are sugary sweet. Yes they are creamy on the tongue, but that's it! Wheres the tang? It wasn't there. If youre a smoker or a 6 year old, then youll enjoy the neutral flavor of this! The graham cracker crust did have a decent amount of buttery flavor, but the actual filling is what matters! They garnish a block of white and dark chocolate, as well as some strawberry syrup to give more dynamics to the flavor.
Three hours went by and I could only feel I sense of disappointment and underwhelming satisfaction. What adds insult to injury is the fact that this place is highly rated. It was number 1 in steakhouses in Da Magazine. Considering I know I would have had a great time at Nick and Sams or Reata, I could only yearn for a different experience as I stare out the window in dismay.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Ample self parking available with a valet as well (unsure of cost, I self parked). You enter and the restaurant is to the left with a lounge to the right. I think the restaurant is deceivingly large, as it is broken up into rooms. We were in the main room and I will say it was pretty loud / hard to hear each other at points of the meal just due to the tables being relatively close and not a ton of noise dampening.
As an appetizer, we ordered the jumbo lump crabcakes. It comes with two crab cakes in a lemon caper sauce and topped with almost crispy potato strings? Not 100% sure what they were but it tasted amazing together. I've been disappointed by a lot of crab cakes lately and appreciated the lack of celery in these... it was truly mostly crab!
We both ordered steaks for our entree witb au gratin potatoes. The aged New York strip was perfectly cooked, but a little on the salty side in my opinion. The au gratin potatoes were creamy and pretty good, but honestly nothing special to me.
We finished the evening with a chocolate mousse cake and it was great as well. Sweet but not overly heavy, which was a nice way to end the meal.
Definitely a nice place to go, but I might try to book in one of the smaller rooms to the side to hopefully help with the noise if I went back. Our server Christopher was patient and helpful throughout the meal.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 6, 2023Updated review
More of the usual exceptional experiences this place offers.... Came here for dinner
Scott was our waiter and Ben the Somm. Great service and old friends
We started with our steaks right away and we ordered the New York strip, medium rare, as well as the fillet. The accompaniments were the onion rings the spinach and the potatoes au gratin. The service was exceptional the ambience, amazing and the level of sophistication of the place is inspiring high-quality grade service exceptional experiences is what comes with the price that you pay... And it's worth it.
I highly recommend this placeHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Nov 29, 2021Previous reviewSat at the bar while we waited for our party to arrive. Tried a nice rose from Provence and although the first glass was not ok, the sommelier opened a new bottle ans replaced it! Classy place overall.
We sat for dinner and had the full experience. Excellent service great food and attention to detail. We were celebrating a 21st birthday so it was a special night and they really took care of us.
NY strip is my favorite and it was cooked perfectly. As were all the steaks. The salads were fresh and crisp and the shrimp was plump and juicy.
I highly recommend this place.Apr 26, 2018Previous reviewWhat an outstanding evening. Rodrigo was our caretaker and Fabian the sommelier. They were the center of the team but the entire staff was terrific.
The appetizers were a Caesar, bacon scallops, shrimp, and crab cakes. All were succulent and fresh. The shrimp were firm and large and the bacon lean while the crab cakes had the requisite volume!
Entrees were superbly cooked steaks to everyone's order. Everyone got exactly what we wanted. The NY strip was sublime and the prime rib was exceptionally tender.
But wait. There is more. Deep dish creme brûlée and blonde macadamia as well as choc cake. Unbelievably good. And all at the zero calorie count. Unbeatable.
The wine recommendations were on point based on request. And it did not break the budget. As if the service and quality were not enough Fabian took us in a tour of the cellar!!!! WOW. how impressive. Thank you!
I highly recommend this place!! - 37124193Apr 11, 2024
Excellent steakhouse with perfect service. I ordered a ribeye and it was cooked exactly medium rare as requested. All of their side items and salad were tasty. The ambiance is like a typical nice steakhouse, and I will definitely be back.
