Probably one of the best afternoons we spent in Philly was just sitting at Parc people watching. After visiting Paris, I can definitely say it has a total Parisian cafe vibe.

Service was impeccable even though we only grabbed afternoon cocktails along with salmon tartare. The complimentary bread was honestly one of the best breads I've ever been served. I would have paid for it.

Parc is being one of my favorite spots since I moved to Philly. Not today. I was able to secure a table by the window and was happy about it, I waited more than 15 minutes for my server be to arrive and the place wasn't even half full, so I decided to move to the bar expecting better service. I'm a regular here, once a week customer, got my beverage right away at the bar, after 15 more minutes ordered my food, never had my bread delivered, and my fried artichokes were so oily I couldn't even get two bites of them. No one bother to ask if everything was ok. The rest of our meal was okay.
I think there's a training issue with the personal, I've noticed the lack of effort for an elevated experience compared to a year ago. Something is missing and there's many other options for me to go on a Friday night around the square

Fantastic French bistro inspired restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere, good size menu, friendly service and pretty good food. The French Onion Soup was excellent, really enjoyed that. I also had the steak frites... that I was somewhat disappointed as the cut of meat was not very good, had a lot of gristle and nowhere near enough fries for a frites dish.

But honestly, I still loved the place. Something about the overall atmosphere that was warm and inviting. Will definitely go back next time I am in Philly.

      1 check-in

In need of a break from shopping in Rittenhouse Square, we stopped here to relax, order wine, and enjoy the beautiful day. We arrived after the lunch hour rush but before the dinner rush, and there was plenty of outside seating for two.

Upon asking the hostess for an outside table, she seemed put off and told us she needed to check her seating situation. This was understandable, as there could have been reservations and we were walk-ins. However, what really struck me was her attitude towards us when she found an opening. She asked us what we were there for, and we told her we wanted to order a bottle of wine and relax. She then informed us that we were required to order food.

I was a bit taken aback, so she repeated herself, this time gesturing with her hands as if feeding herself to emphasize that we had to order food. Despite this, we decided to stay and, instead of a bottle of wine, we ordered two glasses of wine and an appetizer since we were required to order food. For $17 a glass, it was a good-sized pour, but the crispy artichoke appetizer was much too greasy. However, the complimentary bread basket was excellent, with a variety of artisan breads to choose from. Overall, we were pleased with our table overlooking the park, enjoying the sunshine and we had just the right amount of shade. However, it was quite pricey, costing us double what we had spent on lunch earlier at another place!

While I understand that restaurants have different policies, the way it was communicated felt dismissive and unwelcoming. I would suggest training staff to handle such situations with more courtesy and better communication. A simple explanation of the policy, before finding us a table, and without the attitude would have made a big difference in our experience.

Excellent early lunch in a beautiful French setting. The staff, lead by Kashi ,was friendly, efficient and attentive.

I chose a Salmon Tartare for starters. The dish was well presented and flavorful. Beautiful color on the salmon.

For entree I selected a warm shrimp salad with avocado. The shrimp was prepared perfectly. Very delicious when paired with the salad and avocado. Definitely will return.

Came here for drinks and a sweet treat. Got seated at the bar and it was a vibe. The bartenders also look very dapper with their uniform.

The crème brûlée was excellent. I love that it came with a little Madeline. It was just a touch too burnt, but overall it was so good. I was very impressed by the fact that you can see the actual vanilla specs in the custard. If they added some fruit that would really take it to the next level.

Moving onto the drinks. Let me preface this by saying I've had many espresso martinis, but this has to be at the top (if not, the best I've ever had). I love that not one component of the martini outshines the other, it's a beautiful balance of all the ingredients. I think I might remember this one forever.

Getting a table for a large party on a Saturday isn't an easy task and we were appreciative that the restaurant was able to accommodate us . The place was busy and almost full late in the evening when we got there.

The space is similar to most french bistros ie. Pastis in the meatpacking ( nyc ) or Balthazar's in soho ( nyc ). Though the space is similar , the main difference is the food quality .

We shared the french onion soup ( not ideal for sharing ), crab and avocado ( flavorful but could use more avocado slices ), tomato salad ( crowd favorite ) , tuna carpaccio ( needed some salt and a tad bit more olive oil ) and the delicious bread basket with butter for appetizer. The main entrees were burger, sea bass ( flavorful but overcooked ), moules frites ( good ) and the biggest disappointment was the steak au pouivre ( preferred temperature was medium but I get the sense it was either sitting there for some time or it was sous vide as it wasn't warm and juicy when served , the crust was heavy with pepper , maybe better if it was warm ). Shame as french bistros are normally known for their steak and fries ( and of course escargot which we didn't order ).

On the other hand , the whole table agreed that the best part was the service ( I wish we got his name ), he was on point , attentive to our needs / requests while maintaining a professional, kind gesture ( great customer service ).

Overall , we had a good time as it's all about the company in a nice setting / ambiance with good service. Minor tweaks like making sure the food is warm when served can make a huge difference and allow the restaurant to thrive in Philly especially in a beautiful neighborhood like Rittenhouse Square .

Visiting Philadelphia for the July 4th weekend and I had Parc on my list of restaurants to check out. This place did not disappoint!

My friend and I got here for an early dinner reservation and sat outside because I had my dog with us. Our server was great - friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks first while reviewing their food menu. I got their Romarin and my friend got their Whiskey Noir. My drink was so refreshing on this hot July evening!

We shared the Escargots app and both loved the hazelnut broth it came in. We were also provided a basket of 3 different types of complimentary bread which was great.

For my main dish, I chose the Mediterranean Sea Bass and my friend got their Duck and Plums. The tapenade on my fish added great flavor and I loved the crispy skin on top. Had a bite of my friend's duck too which was quite delicious.

We decided to also share a dessert and got their Profiteroles. Loved the cold custard and the lightly drizzled chocolate was a nice touch. I also ended up trying their Crème Brûlée dessert cocktail which was interesting but quite good.

Overall, a great dining experience at Parc. The restaurant is huge with classic dining decor. A lot of inside seating along with a lot of outdoor seating as well. Service was great, food was amazing and drinks were delicious. No complaints here!

Overall amazing restaurant, lovely atmosphere and great food! Will most certainly be back again.
This is such a staple in Philly! Very knowledgeable, attentive, personable staff. The atmosphere makes you feel like your in France! They have a nice patio overlooking Rittenhouse square, which feels very European! The food is great and I love that they serve complimentary bread (something hard to find in Philly). It's in a great location too, next to lots of great shops, parks, bars, and restaurants.

What a beautiful place for a brunch! Truly outstanding inside. The food was very good, I had the Eggs Norwegian and it was delightful. The bread was also very good. Sadly the cappuccino was not very good, so I would not recommend. I was with 3 other friends and all of them also enjoyed their food, particularly the Steak Frites. The service was great also, we had a reservation so we were seated rapidly, and all the food was brought to the table quickly. Great experience, would definitely recommend.
