Paul's Mobile Detailing

So I went to Paul's to get the interior cleaned out of the car had a bad smell and realized that we needed to change some matting in the carpet before we cleaned it. My insurance company decided that they weren't gonna help and luckily out of the generosity of Paul's heart, he gave me a clean car with no hassle. The smell is gone.

Business owners need to take lessons from Paul D. because Paul is not only a master of his own crafts when it comes to auto body repair/detailing, but he has also mastered the craft of customer relationship, customer focus, empathy, communications, etc. The list goes on. Let's dive into the meat of all these details and how I came to that conclusion in this long, drawn-out review/story.

I've been frantically searching for auto body repair on Yelp for my front bumper, and I've made multiple inquiries from a dozen auto body repair shops, most of which gave me simple quotes that weren't explained in steps or details, but rather a mere short, vague statement with a price range. Paul was the only one willing to reach out to me and explain what needed to be done and the price for each step. He offered a free consultation, which I wholeheartedly accepted. The following day, he made his way to my place at his own time and gas to get a closer look and see a clearer picture of what needed to be done before proceeding. I spoke with him for a while, and he immediately connected with me and understood my situation on why I decided not to go with my insurance for financial reasons. He empathized with me and wanted to give me the best deal possible while doing the utmost job on my repair, as promised. I took his offer, and we began a two-day journey where, under the guidance of his goodwill, he made sure I was happy by doing business with him. Thankfully, he delivered what was promised.

After I made my decision to bring the car to his shop, I was met with a warm welcome to his kingdom. He allowed me to venture with him into his shop to learn what he means in this business, what he does for a living, his hobbies, his livelihood--everything about Paul. He made me feel welcome not just as his customer but as a friend who could relate to each other in a meaningful way. Besides being there to sign over the contract for our agreement, I got to learn about Paul as a person, his livelihood, his business, his hobbies, and his profound love and father figure for his dogs. I had never spent this much time with a business owner whom I had only met and spoken to for 30 minutes, but I felt like I had known him all my life. This charismatic human being is literally one of the wonders of the world I've come to know.

Over the course of these two days, his communication with me was outstanding. I never expected Paul, of all people who own a prominent small-large auto body shop, to find the time to build such great rapport with me in such a short but very busy schedule of his. Constantly, he would call and text me pictures of work in progress, constantly making sure I was okay proceeding with the next step. He offered various degrees of options for me, without pressuring me, allowing me to choose what is best for me and for my car. He was willing to work with me on prices that were reasonable to an extent. Paul is still a businessman, but he is willing to make sacrifices and take a loss without jeopardizing the quality of his work. He delivered outstanding results that rival other auto body shops that cost twice or thrice as much for the same result. Ironically, when I first spoke to Paul, he wasn't at all fascinated with EVs (Electric Vehicles), as he is a traditional, old-school individual who favors vintage, beautiful internal combustion vehicles over glorified electric modern laptops with wheels. I knew that Paul had worked in his craft for over three decades, so it's no surprise he curated and devised a plan that met my price and expectations.

Originally, when we spoke during the initial consultation, I wanted this repair to be close to 90% of what it looked like prior to the damage, but he assured me he wanted to deliver close to 95%, which I scoffed and chuckled over the price I was being charged for. When it was finally time to pick up my car, I was met with a surprise; the result was not close to 95% but a perfect 100%. Whoa, what the... I stood there in awe, unexpectedly flabbergasted, with my jaw dropped for a mere minute when I came to pick up my car. Paul delivered the impossible for an impossible price. Now, don't take it the wrong way, saying I'm just a mere shill for his company. No, I wanted you guys to hear from me personally what I've been through over the past two days with this man. You can look back at my previous Yelp reviews, which are quite effortless and concise. I took the liberty to spend a lot of time writing about my experience after a 4-year hiatus to not only tell you how amazing this was for me but also to make you believe that you can trust in Paul when it comes to your car because if there is a god who can grant miracles in car detailing, restoration, and repair, that man is Paul D.

Paul's gotta be the nicest and most understanding mobile detailing dude in SF, gave me a courtesy call on the morning of my appointment and checked in on my afternoon appointment.

Unfortunately my schedule shifted this morning and I had to cancel on him last minute. Paul was gracious enough to understand my situation - even offered to help! What a guy - I will definitely give this guy another ring and setup a detail when I can!

I went back to Paul because of a great experience from before. Paul is amazing to work with and is a very down to earth guy.

Paul is very sincere about his work and truly cares about customer satisfaction. Paul discovered dings on my car during the detailing process and took the time to document and send me phots to communicate with me each time to ensure I was aware of any additional work that needed to performed. Not once did I feel like I was being sold superfluous work items to get the car looking the way I wanted.

As you can see, the car turned out amazing, so much nicer than even when I first picked it up from the dealership. Paul's work speaks for itself, but what impresses me more is his customer service. Honest work ethic with great attention to detail -thank you again Paul!!

Initially I was hesitant to leave my car here because it was my first time but I was recommended by another shop to clean out the mold in my Camry. I drove to his shop took 1 hour with traffic, he was straight up with everything on what he needs to do and what he needs from me. Gave me a good price for the mold removal and he was kind enough to touch up my cars paint and scratches ! Amazing owner who truly sees the need in his customers. My family and friends are now coming here if they ever need body work job or cleaning services.

I'm the owner of a 2016 Nissan Leaf, my first and only electric car. I purchased it at a time that at least two of my four children were learning to drive and, in doing so, made contact with various immovable objects. They weren't the only ones. I make my fair share of scrapes against parking lot columns. Then, this past year, while my son was driving, the Leaf got sideswiped on its passenger side and essentially became the ugliest car in our family "fleet." While I still needed the car for my daily commute to the East Bay (I live in San Francisco), its unsightliness left much to be desired. More importantly, the damage to the car was causing rusting and vulnerable areas where water could enter into the frame and cause more damage.

This is where Paul and his Mobile Detailing team comes in. My wife took down PMD's phone number from their company vehicle and made a call. Paul was immediately responsive, inviting me to bring the vehicle to his shop straight-away, and did not leave me waiting with regard to a course of action. Paul took us in, treating us as if we were his favorite customers, and assured us that we would be well taken care of, including working directly with the auto insurance details.

We were not dissapointed. Work got started almost immediately and although the shop clearly had a large work load, Paul and his crew found a way to keep progress on the car going at a fast clip. What was extraordinary about the process was the MANY photographs that Paul's team took along the way, keeping me abreast of the progress as it was happening. Through my phone, I was able to see the transformation of my Leaf in moment-by-moment fashion. Along the way, there were some minor decisions to be made about priorities and approaches and it was Paul that kept my wife and I in the loop and in a way that was as friendly as it was professional. We were never in the dark about what was being done with our car.

Suffice to say, the Leaf returned as if it was virtually brand new. All evidence of the sideswipe had vanished, along with historic dents and scratches. The surfaces were smooth as if original and the coat of black paint pristinely applied. Also, to our surprise, the entire interior of the car was comprehensively detailed. The car looked brand new, inside and out!

Paul and his team (Aldo in particular) took care of us from start to finish, and performed a level of body restoration work that will bring us back with other present and future needs. Their skills, combined with their responsiveness and personableness, compel us to recommend their services to others.

Paul and his team did a great job not only detailing the car, but getting rid of spilled paint, stains on seats, exterior scratches and even a dent on the spoiler! After the great polish, the car looks better than ever! I thought car detailers just did baseline cosmetic work, boy was I wrong! Paul and his team are thorough, fast, and friendly. I highly recommend!

What a major pain in the a$$ when your car becomes flooded from a leaking sunroof...but have no fear Paul is here....what a relief to have him on your side!!!
