This chicken Marsala is so good. Please come to Red Gravy, this place has the best Italian food in Colorado Springs.
We sat at the bar because there were no tables left, which is one of my biggest complaints of not having enough room on a Wednesday night but I'm glad they are keeping busy.
I just want to talk about the Chicken Marsala. I love the gnocchi with this which you don't often see paired with Marsala but it works. The Marsala sauce was so rich and the addition of the balsamic reduction can add a lot by really remixing the flavor. If I come back it will be hard not to order anything else.
I also got the tiramisu crème brûlée which is not at all a tiramisu but a crème brûlée with some tiramisu flavors. Don't really recommend it unless you really like crème brûlée.
Make Red Gravy on your list of places to eat in the Springs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rob B.Falcon, CO36651May 28, 2024
Gold course clubhouse atmosphere.
Excellent staff and service.
We went for the lobster Benedict. Generous portion of the lobster!
We enjoyed it. Probably will return.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - S M.Colorado Springs, CO06923May 8, 2024
We went here today, 5:15 reservation (Wednesday) and I enjoyed a glass of organic Moscato and penne pomodoro and my husband had mushroom risotto. We also had the cheesy garlic bread that came with a really nice dipping sauce. All were generous portions and good quality that we would consider getting again. Our Server, Kaley, was appropriately attentive and others pitched in bringing out the appetizer and picking up dishes.
I would recommend a reservation since the restaurant is cozy and there are often events happening downtown. Would have loved to have taken home dessert but we're on our way to a concertHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kaleb O.San Diego, CA05419Jul 19, 2024
The food here is alright, the portions are a little small for what you get. Other than the small portions for the price the food is really good and tastes authentic
and from Italy! The service here is great especially if you get Jesse, she was really nice gave us a lot of options and here top picks, also giving us are food fast and efficient. The ambiance is decent it's not anything from Italy but it's not something you would throw up if you saw.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rich S.Colorado Springs, CO2918789Apr 29, 2024Updated review
4-30-24 update: Follow up.
I have communicated with Chef Eric. He offered what I believe was a sincere apology, as I would expect to be done. I'll reiterate: My past visits have been wonderful, and the food amazing. His staff completely let him down, as well as me. Hopefully this will be a learning opportunity for his staff. 1 star for lack of service. Second star for Eric's response. There might be a second chance down the road. Chalk this up to a bad night.

Not off to a good start. 6:15 reservations for 2 to celebrate our anniversary. Came early. Seated promptly. 10 minutes and still not even greeted or acknowledged, despite a server stopping several times at the table next to us. Tables sat after us were greeted, and drink orders taken.
There are a total of 5 occupied tables including ours. Not even eye contact here.
15 minutes now. Asked the host to send over a manager.
20 minute mark. The server that ignored us came to apologize.
Too little too late.
Way to kill the mood of our celebration.
We went next to Jack Quinn's where we weren't ignored and had a wonderful meal with GREAT service.
Too bad. We were looking forward to the meal. Amazing food in the past.
Been supporting this business for a long time. Not sure I'm willing to risk this lack of service again.
Note: We made this reservation through Open Table. We drove 25 miles to be there, and were there early. We left after receiving NO service. Open Table has a points system, based on fulfilled reservations. Staff chose to mark my reservation as "cancelled", thus depriving me of points for a reservation that we honored, as well as the opportunity to leave any feedback.

I took my wife here for our anniversary. Thursday night so not crowded. Reservation made through Open Table. Seated immediately and outside as requested.
We were there before 6:00, so we managed to get our app at 1/2 price. Started with Toasted Ravioli. Cooked perfectly - crispy but not overdone. The meat sauce for dipping mild and delicious. Plenty to share.
Main course: I had the Salmon Piccata. Never had this anywhere before... WOW... Salmon cooked perfectly. Tender, pink but cooked. The sauce was simply out of this world. Topped with capers, served with a twice-baked potato and their version of Brussel sprouts. I will be back because of this dish. I will not frustrate myself for the next 6 months trying to duplicate this at home.
My bride had the Chicken Saltimbocca. Another perfectly cooked dish with a delicious sauce. I usually shy away from the dish because most places over-salt them. Not tonight Batting 1000. Served with a butternut squash risotto that could have been a meal in itself.
Fortunately she left some for me to take home.
Finished the dinner with their lemon flan, and their blueberry pastry.
This was truly one of the best meals I've had in a long time.
No alcohol for us, and the whole meal was 1/2 of what a steak would have cost me up the street at The Famous.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Jun 9, 2018Previous reviewWe like to try locally owned places. This showed up on a Yelp search. Reservations were available thru Open Table, so 4 of us met on a Friday night at 6:30
Downtown on Tejon, we figured the place would be full. Empty. But it filled up as the night went on.
Simple but comprehensive menu. It all looked good. We skipped the appetizers but filled up a bit on the Focaccia bread with roasted garlic oil. Yum.
Lots of great choices. I went with the Butternut Squash tortellini. Absolutely delicious rich, and smooth. Normal people probably would have had leftovers.
My wife had Chicken Saltimbuco, with butternut squash risotto. Another home run, with at least half the serving leftover for another meal.
One of our friends had the lasagna. Again, huge portion.
For dessert, we chose the Lemoncelli Pana Cotta. Delicious, bold and sweet flavor, and enough to share.
Service was good and attentive.
I'd give 4.5 if we had the option - Raisa C.Colorado Springs, CO026Jul 14, 2024
We went for my brother's birthday dinner and it was overall amazing. The food selection is great, portions are abundant, flavor was delicious, and prices were reasonable. The ambiance was lively and aesthetic was Americanized Italian. We had the Toasted Ravioli (8/10), Tiramisu Creme Brulee (10/10), and Blueberry Gooey Buttercake (6/10) to share, I had the Campanelle Shrimp Pesto (7/10), my brother had Bucatini Amatriciana (10/10). Our server, Paige, was very friendly and attentive. She also gave us a complimentary drink and dessert for the birthday celebration. We'll definitely come back!

The chicken Marsala was terrible and the service was equally bad. The chicken was dry and chicken Marsala should be served in a wine sauce and this was more of a cream sauce, which was mediocre. I would not recommend this restaurant for dining whatsoever.

I can only comment on the service by the hosts, 2 young men, because they were so rude to us when we came in. The wait was 45 minutes and we asked if we could get a drink from the bar while we waited. We were told "NO, this is not a dive bar". They said it in such a rude way, I will never step foot in the place again, and I will make sure that I tell everyone this story. I never knew being able to enjoy a drink while standing waiting for a table was a " dive bar" sort of thing. I guess I frequent a lot of dive bars in my years of dining out. Young people today need to be taught social skills in the hospitality industry. I guess they need more training from their employer and their parents.

Food here was disappointing. The bucatini bolognese was probably the most sad plate of pasta I've ever had. I ended up dumping a lot of Parmesan in it to try and salvage it but it was just... boring.
Appetizers were alright, I saw there were many Italian places around in Colorado Springs so I'd recommend else where!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah H.Fort Worth, TX37388Jul 7, 2024
