    • Q:

I see No Wait app sends me here. Am I still able to get into line?

      A:

If there's no wait, there's no line...it seems to update in real time because I kept refreshing it when it said no wait, and then it popped up there was a 5 minute wait. That was when I was able to "get in line" on the app.

Bright, fun atmosphere. Immediately upon waking in I felt a happiness from the decor and the welcoming. Our waitress, I think her name was Michelle, was very friendly.

The food was AMAZING. My shrimp and grits were fresh and flavorful. The Benedict sandwiches were delicious and all of the sweets were great. Of course, we had to have beignets while in town and these were wonderful.

As much as we tried to finish it all, we ended up with leftovers. We had some pancakes, some beignets and a biscuits. Even though we had a day of walking in the heat ahead of us we took them to go. They were still delicious the next day!! That tells you something.

The drinks were tasty, too! The Bloody Mary was especially unique because it had a a distinct bacon infusion flavor. Very tasty!

I'm glad we gave it a go and I recommend it for sure.

I am surprised at all the reviews raving about Ruby Slippers as we did not have a good meal here. I came here for breakfast with friends. I ordered the pig candy to start and the biscuits and gravy as my meal. There's an option to add a fried green tomato for $1, so I did that. Another friend ordered the fried catfish and grits and another friend ordered the fried green tomato benedict. The pig candy was underwhelming. It didn't taste candied at all, it tasted like they just pour maple syrup on the regular bacon. My biscuits and gravy were equally underwhelming. And the food was lukewarm not hot. The fried green tomato that I paid extra for was so burnt and flat it was hard to even tell it was a tomato. I literally (and politely) gave it back to the server immediately. I wish I would've taken a pic before I did.
My friend who ordered the fried green tomatoes said her home fries were not only cold but burnt on the outside and uncooked on the inside. She asked them to be remade but the remade ones they sent out tasted the same (burnt and uncooked). Only one of us liked their food (she ordered the shrimp and grits). The rest of us all agreed it was underwhelming.

The service also left something to be desired. Our server was nice, but we had to ask more than once for simple things like ketchup or water. Pains me to say but I would not come back to Ruby Slippers.

This is a must stop. There are two but this one in Marigny is fantastic. At first, we thought it was closed because the door was a tad bit tough, as we didn't want to fling the door open. Q came running over to assist we finally gave the door a good push. He welcomed us with a friendly smile and introduction.

Our party of 5 was sat and Veronica did a fabulous job. Friendly, knowledgeable, and even gave us recommendations for crawfish boil. Our drinks were filled, food was perfect (compliments to the chef as well).

      We will be back.

We are here on vacation. 5 people with one with food intolerance. This has been the best experience of the week!
When we walked in we were greeted by Q. He had pride in his employer and it showed. He set the stage for a great meal. The Veronica came in as our waitress. She ensured our meal was arcuate, delicious and hot.
At the end, they both came over and talked to us about food and history.
Just all around a great experience!

All imma say is once this food hit my table I didn't pick my head up until it was gone. I don't know if I breathed but I inhaled this food. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. The service was good the waiter was friendly. I'll fly back anytime just for those shrimp and grits.

As I'm writing this I'm shaking my head in disbelief...
This has been the best place we've eaten at since we've landed.
      The moment we walked in,...
We were warmly greeted, friendly chatted up while we waited for our table and had the most delicious breakfast.
Service is amazing and the hospitality was top notch.
Veronica was the best, most pleasant. Most beautiful individual I have ever met.
      We will be back!!!

This place has become a staple for us on vacation here in New Orleans. The service is fantastic. Veronica is such a sweetheart and the whole entire team is extremely friendly and welcoming. Not to mention... food is superb! Anything from biscuits and gravy to a veggie omelet is solid! Also the spiced vanilla latte is fantastic. All in all... this place is a 10/10 and definitely recommend coming here!!

Would normally be raving about the staff and the food etc.

But for weeks now the espresso machine has been "broken"!
And last year, the espresso machine was "broken" for weeks at a time!

Now it's reached the point of ridiculousness!

It's a breakfast place with a huge corporate budget!
If you can make lattes or espresso at breakfast, maybe you need to be in a different line of work!!

I am a sucker for eggs benedict so of course that's what I got. However, I have to say they were just okay. Kind of mid, really, but I do respect the fact that they have so many different kinds to choose from and you can mix and match when is something I wish more places would do.
We started out with some drinks and my boyfriends amaretto coffee was divine.
The show stealer is without a doubt the french toast bites. I don't even like french toast normally but these were so crispy and flavorful and I still dream about the praline sauce they come with.
Our server Taranesha was so good to us and didn't let us feel neglected at all despite how busy the place was when we were there.
To give anyone visiting a heads up, you do want to put your name on a waiting list through the website and don't forget to check in with the host when you get there.

The ambience here is casual. The food was generally good. I highly enjoyed the fried green tomatoes but wish they gave more in an order since they were really small. The breakfast tacos were in what appeared to be store bought flour tortilla (not great) so I ended up just eating the insides of the tacos. However, they were kind of bland and needed some seasoning. My friend who ordered the shrimp and grits enjoyed it thoroughly and my other friend said the fried chicken eggs benedict was lovely. The biscuits are fluffy and buttery so I highly recommend getting one to try. The amaretto iced coffee was a major favorite as was the blueberry lavender mimosa. The mimosa came in a full wine goblet rather than a more traditional champagne flute but not to worry because you can ask to take it to go if you can't finish it up there. This is a nice New Orleans chain where you can get a nice hearty brunch for a decent price.
