Megan is the absolute best! I've been seeing her for 1+ year now and she's the best color specialist I've ever worked with to get the blonde that I want. I'll only trust Megan with my hair going forward! I also recommend you do a tarot card reading with her while your hair is processing -- elevators your salon experience :)

Love Jer and love my new creamy blond hair!
For context I've been all over sf for two years, trying to find my colorist. It's been a journey of probably 5-6 different salons and humans and many many dollars. It got part of the way there but never 100%. I was starting to doubt if I even wanted to color my hair anymore bc I couldn't figure out how to get what I wanted or how to communicate it. Just had my first session with Cirrus and let me tell you, I am hooked. I have never before received so many compliments about my hair or appearance. (You know the hair is good when people say "there's something about you today, you just look amazing" and don't specifically call out your hair. "Did you color your hair?" is never the comment you want!). And I am just in LOVE with the new dimension in color, plus the cut really lightened up the look of my hair without actually thinning it out. Amazing layers!
Cirrus has a different process than most colorists. I like that she doesn't use heat to process color. Let's face it, highlights are not great for your hair, so the less damage sustained the better. It may take longer but she is such a delight to chat with that the time flew by.
To address one naysayer's comments - yes, it is (or seems) more expensive AND takes more time than other salons BUT the total for 12 months is the same as if you go somewhere less expensive more frequently. Going every 5 to 6 months is a better schedule for me. I'd rather do 5 hours twice a year (10 hours total), than 3.4 - 4 hours four times a year (14 - 16 hours total).

I reviewed the video in the salon after Emily called me saying you were being aggressive. Crying from back room. I needed to see for my self what happened. So after I saw you flip her off through the window. She made 2 attempts to call you before your appt to do a consult and did not revive text back till the day you were coming in.
She explained multiple times before starting on you that you were a color correction because some one had ruined your hair in Idaho on your vacation. Your hair was orange with bright yellow ends. You also told her no one can ever get this right before you started. She said that this would def take a few sessions to work back up to a healthy blonde.
I heard you ask for a darken your root back to your natural root w lowlights coming through.
While drying your hair you stood up aggressively and ripped your cape off. She was very startled with your reaction. I heard her say, Im so sorry, your hair is wet. let me finish it will brighten up.
you then said don't f-ing touch me.
You offered to pay and she said I do not feel comfortable charging you if you are not happy. You won't let me finish, I am not done, Please let me fix the toner and lighten it up for you.
You said NO!! She again asked please give me a chance to make this right for you.
I can't take your money if you are not happy. She was polite and visible upset.
As the owner. I have to stand behind her and doing what you asked, she was polite and tried her best to make you happy. Emily is an amazing colorist
We are very sorry you were unhappy but she did the right thing by not charging you and letting you go. The way you treated her in not ok Flipping her off is NOT OK. She tried her best to make this right ....I also see you have a lot of one star reviews.
Your right. we must be making it up. You dont seem aggressive in it at all. Luckily I have the video saved.. Let me know if you would like the video footage. I went in as a blonde and just wanted some gray coverage and came out as an ashy brunette with a GREEN hue. RUN AWAY!!!!!!! FYI: I was ready to pay Emily, the "colorist", despite what she did to my hair because I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible so I could start researching a salon that does color correction, since that is what I need after seeing Emily, and while she wouldn't accept payment, instead of simply apologizing for what is CLEARLY an incredibly TERRIBLE job - my hair is now a color that does not exist in nature - she decided to insult me and tell me how I came in with "flaming yellow hair", etc...

Had good experience a few times. Thought I was becoming a good customer.
Had an appointment today.
Unfortunately, I was called to school to get my sick kid.
Asked to reschedule. No way to contact them. Phone does not work and no one responds to emails. The square app also didn't allow me to cancel. Strict cancellation policies. They still charged me $120 for a "no show". Be aware. $120 for hair not trimmed. :)
Should I have left my kid at school sick or brought them to the appointment??

HI Amber. I am so happy to hear you have had so many positive experiences here, Our apologies you were not able to reach us that morning. Because we are a small 4 chair salon, our stylist here have their independent cell number and books. We are usually busy behind the chair serving clients and can not answer our cell phones. You can only imagine how hard it been for our stylists with the pandemic and being shut down almost a year without pay. You can also imagine how many cancelations and no shows we have been getting weekly. Especially the last few months ,as hard as it is to enforce these boundaries because you also become friends. Please understand this how our stylist feed themselves and their children. When clients cancel last mintute we cant pay our rents. Our stylist have been struggling to stay open with all of the colds, flus and "covid" cancelations last minute. This is why our 72 hour cancelation policy is on place. I really hope for your kids had a speedy recovery. Some of us all have sick kids out for weeks as well, we do not get paid time off. Nor can we work from home. We really do appreciate your understanding and partridge. It's not personal, Its stated our cancelation policy online before you agree to booking and in confirmations emails as well. This is put in place to protect our staff so they stay behind the chair and serve you and still take care of our families. Trust me its the hardest part of our job.

Hi MT, We have have reached out multiple times to find out who you saw and If we could help rectify. We only have 2 stylist who are female and neither of them have had you in their chair. I myself am not taking new clients and from looking at our books we have all existing return clients. Please contact us back so we have more information. We did read through your other reviews. you hate human beings? and California Suck?? Seems like you are not very happy in general. Wish you the best! Salt

I've been seeing Cirrus for many years. She's an IMPECCABLE blonde colorist, best of the best. She passionate about her craft and is well versed in the science of color. We've done all sorts of different variations of blonde; balayage, baby light, face framing and all types of different levels; warm blonde, ashy blonde, honey blonde, and bronde. All very low maintenance results, I see her 1-3 times a year.
She also gives exquisite haircuts!
Not to mention she has excellent taste; knows about all the trends.
Her salon experience is top notch professional; and the interior is amazing. Feels like a nice little escape. Mid century modern feminine desert vibes.
I could not recommend her more.

Cirrus is an absolutely incredibly talented stylist!
I'm a fellow hairdresser, and decided to treat myself and be a "client" for once and booked with her. The whole experience from the virtual consultation to the ease of online booking to the lovely conversation in her chair and relaxing and beautiful salon experience were top freaking notch!
Also my hair has never looked this good! I gave Cirrus a few inspo photos and trusted her to do her magic to interpret and give me what she thought would look best and she did not disappoint.
