Shakeel the Phone Repair Guy

I had problems with my XsMax iphone accepting a charge for days. It would not charge overnight even with a new lightning cable. My calls were dropping as well during conversation with different people.

I decided to fine someone who does cell phone repair as I believe my charging port needed to be replaced.

I found Shakeel phone repair on Yelp and given the repairs and the distance, I decided to do something about my problem. Shakeel is available every day of the week and a good many hours. I went on Friday midafternoon. Plenty of parking and traffic was light in the area.

I do not know exactly what he did, but he verified that the charging port was fine. It accepts charges. Not sure what he did that corrected the problem.

For the dropped calls, Shakeel advised going to the AT&T store, my provider to obtain a new sim card. Upon going to the store not far from his location, they wanted me to buy a new phone because the rep said it was 5 years old and battery is old or I can buy insurance policy and make a claim after 30 days and they can replace battery for free.

I decided to go to another AT&T store in SF on Mission St, they installed a new eSIM card for free. My phone is charging now after leaving Shakeel's office and no longer experiencing dropped calls. Shakeel did not charge anything for his advice or work even though I was willing to pay to replace the charging port if needed. Very fair owner and business practices.

The guy running the place is super nice. Came in and wanted to change the back glass on my Iphone that shattered. He explained that I really did not need to do it and that it was just cosmetic, also being that my phone case covers it I really did not need to do that. I really appreciate his honesty and would definitely come back.

So damn near poked a hole through my phone and thought I would give Shakeel a shot. I gave him a call and he told me to come right in. The place is really easy to find and there's plenty of parking. For reference, it's directly across the street from Raymond's bread and to the right of public storage. I walked upstairs, took a right and the door was on my right hand side. Walked in and Shakeel was happy to see me. I showed him the phone and he was perfectly honest with me. Do I absolutely need what's on the phone, because it's going to run around $800. He said if I don't, it's not worth it. I asked him if I he could dispose of it for me and he said he would properly do it. That's what I really care about. I asked how much I owed him, he said whatever I want and I handed him $20. He was really appreciative and really nice to deal with. If you have any type of cell phone or tablet issues, I highly recommend you come check them out.

My Google Pixel was broken and he was the only repair shop that had the entire system in stock and he fixed my phone in 15 min. Amazing service and super quick! Had I not come to Shakeel's it could've taken another week.

Shakeel is awesome! I first met him when I had my Iphone 4s a long long long time ago. I thought I left a review then but looking back I can't find it. 5 stars then!! He fixed it in 10 mins. No parts need. The power button wasn't working. He immediately knew the problem. Didn't say a word. I sat down and watched him work his magic. Took everything apart in 1 min. Dropped a small drop of glue on the inside of the power button. Then put the phone back together in a min. He then tells me the button is worn and wasn't making contact with the metal. The glue acted as a spacer to bridge the gap. Awesome!! It was like $40.

Over the years I must have recommended Shakeel to over a 100 of my friends, family and coworkers.

Fast forward to yesterday. Iphone 12 mini camera not working. Apple store wanted $169. Texted Shakeel and he said come on by. He looked at the phone and said camera is probably going out due to dropping phone too much. In and out in less than 15 mins!!! $100 spent. Well worth it!! If you don't believe me then just look at all his ratings!! Never seen a person/business with that many reviews!! Thanks again Shakeel!!

Poor quality of work and poor service. I brought an iPhone in for battery replacement. Afterward I was testing the phone while I walking out the door, I noticed the haptics didn't work right and there're some spots on the screen. I went back in to let him know the problems. He's working on the next customer and waved me away saying it's probably the heat and just waited for a day or two. The problems persisted. I went in the next day and asked him to fix the problems. They're fixed. It's not just the "heat."

Later on I had to go to the Apple store to get some work done on the phone. They opened it up and noticed some screws were missing. The only guy who had opened the phone previously was Shakeel. Extremely disappointing workmanship.

My iPad went completely black on me while I was trying to update it. Looked online for help with trying to self fix it and then took it Apple and they tried their best to fix it but to no avail. Had it for years but still like new so wanted it fixed.

Went online/Yelp and came across Shakeel, close to me and others reviews were good so took a chance and man! Shakeel saved me $1100 to get a new iPad. He fixed the issue by replacing parts, practically giving me a brand new iPad and running even better than before and faster even it seems! Costing me under $500!

Highly recommend Shakeel for any laptop, desktop, tablet (iPads for sure!) and etc. to being fixed!

Brought my iPhone here for a repair since I dropped it and shattered the back into pieces! Called Shakeel, said I could bring my phone in same day! It was a great and very reasonable service!

Absolutely wonderful and friendly service!! No need for an appointment and I didn't have to wait very long to be seen! I had a huge crack on my iPhone XR, which obstructed the view of the top half of my phone. Considering it was an older model, I wasn't sure if they'd have a compatible screen, but they did! All I had to do was show Hassan my phone and he got to work replacing the screen. Didn't take longer than 10 minutes and for a super affordable price (offered $80 for the lower quality screens and $120 for the better one) Hassan was friendly, kind and very efficient. I'll definitely be back here if I need any kind of repair!

Was able to repair my Ipad screen same day. Very quick, professional service. Would definitely use again.
