They might just have the best snowballs in New Orleans. Finding the gummy bears are also a joy! The ice was soft and they have the classic snowball flavors for great pricing. Definitely worth the wait!

First time going to Stop Jockin on St. Bernard Avenue. As we walked up there was a line well of course like most Sno-Ball stands in the summer in New Orleans. Only 1 window was open on a busy Saturday afternoon - would open a few more when it gets busy.

They not only serve snowballs but they also sell food (hot dogs, nachos, snacks etc) so orders took a little longer than anticipated. The prices are great $3 for smalls, love it. We ordered ice cream, pineapple, strawberry and nectar. They have a good variety of flavors and toppings and a little added surprise on top - gummy bears.

      Love supporting local neighborhood businesses.

The shaved ice is much more than I expected nothing like Houston snowballs.I got the delicious honey dew melon and watermelon. The place was perfect we rode bike to the shack and enjoyed the scenery around us we got to see the real New Orleans vibe. You order at a window and there's a few eating spots out front.

I must submit, I believe I have a new favorite snowball stand in the Gentilly area. STOP JOCKIN!!! I do love the name... it's a little old school, but catchy.

I pass this snowball stand all the time hopping onto the 610 interstate and when I wanted to stop in they were closed.

But I see now, they have more consistent hours now. The food is good. Great price. Great taste. Snowballs are extraordinary. Great price. Excellent taste. The ice is so soft in your mouth. It just literally melts in your mouth. I saw a lady coming by for snowballs no syrup, that ice only... Proof positive that people like the ice here. The flavors are off the chain. I never had a dry snowball from here, sounds like an oxymoron, but it happens. They've always been succulent, moist, juicy and very flavorful.

I've also had the pleasant opportunity to purchase food from this establishment. The food is processed really quickly, and as I stated previously, the taste is good. And I while I've not had everything on the menu, the things that I have had have all been tasty and fair in pricing. The cups are thick styrofoam, I never had to worry about puncturing the bottom of the snowball, nor did I have to worry about the sides being so flimsy that they broke once I grabbed these cups. I've been here more than a few times and I must admit the lines will form quickly, however the staff are quick with reducing the line and processing orders. I am unsure if this location stays open year-round, but as it stands now I plan to visit them daily until I find out otherwise.

Hands down the best snowball in the south!
It's the ice. It's not crunchy like shaved ice. It's fluffy and soft like snow.
Try the wild cherry stuffed with vanilla ice cream.

Been driving to Stop jocking Sno-Ball stand, for Over 10 yes from New Orleans east , because I consider them the best in the city. however My trip before this one today was disappoint It was the young lady who made my Sno-Ball and it was dry, on top of the syrup being cut too much, but, because its My favorite Sno-Ball stand I naturally extended a first time error, However I went back today and this time it was the guy ( I think he's the owner) with the dreads fixed my snowball and again I was disappointed and pissed, because again my syrup could hardly be tasted and was juiceless NOT gonna risk driving from the East to be disappointed again NOW they stand right along with the few I've tried and dropped.........STOP JOCKING for me is #nolongerstandingabove

The ice is still always soft and maybe it's because of inflation but the prices here are pretty average now. The line is always down the street but the quality is worth it. They always put a gummy bear in the snowballs which is cute

Truly one of the best, if not the best, snow ball I've ever had. The ice is blended perfectly, it's as if it's actual snow. The flavor syrup was perfect! I got strawberry cheesecake and it literally changed my life! From the moment I got out of my car until I left with my snowball (and cheese fries) I had the biggest smile on my face. The owners /employees I talked to were also so nice and patient! There was a line but it was so worth the wait. Editors note: the line moved quickly. I love loved loved it. I can't wait to go back on Thursday for another snowball and their famous crawfish Nachos!
