This was a delicious breakfast brunch place that we ate at. Wait staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our breakfast. The restaurant was small and out of the way. This place was definitely a diamond and so glad we tried it. I would highly recommend.

I came for Sunday brunch during Essence Fest. I ordered the seafood omelette. It came with potatoes and toast! It was delicious!! Also, it seemed like they were playing all Janet Jackson songs in honor of her performance on Sunday. It was a good atmosphere, chill vibe.

Planned to stroll down Warehouse til 3pm, but the pouring rain made me trembling and wet. It's also 6hrs since my brunch so I reckon finding a cafe to get some hot stuff.
The atmosphere great and peaceful; just a few people there. Not amazingly cheap but pretty affordable next to the location. Excellent service from welcoming bartender. I've decided to have just a cup of chai, and then ordered jambalaya, and then fried oysters! Turned out to have lunch-supper there.
Chai was a little too sweet for me but maybe that's what one needs in a thunderstorm. Jambalaya nothing to complain. It's served quick and hot, really uplifting. And the fried oysters! They are juicy and fresh, not greasy at all. I'd recommend the owner to make some special sauces for them. The current one is great but a bit conventional. You'll get customers for this!
Too bad I can't have benedict eggs at 2pm. I've also seen a board about happy hour. Do we get half priced cocktails?Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 27, 20241 check-in
Laidback, open space, non fussy restaurant. You can enjoy music while enjoying your meal
We were greeted and seated immediately when we walked in. We were a party of 5 and noticed they don't split checks. That was not a deal breaker but I know how it can get.
The fried seafood platters were delicious. They were hot and fresh. The gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans and rice did not do it for me. They lacked seasoning. The gumbo tasted kind of tasted scorched and they all were just warm and not hot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 7, 20241 check-in
Super super tasty Red Beans & Rice. So savory and extremely delicious Southern comfort food. We happened to eat here during their weekday Happy Hour, so we got $8 HH Classic Margaritas. The margarita was ok... a little too sweet and too strong, idk it wasn't one of the best margaritas I've had; I should've tried the Strawberry Margarita lol. During our meal here, I found a fruit fly in my iced water, which was gross to find. I hope the water wasn't served to me with the fruit fly in it and if it flew in my water while I was eating, then the restaurant needs to install some non-toxic fruit fly traps inside and outside as well.
Nonetheless, I still recommend dining at Streetcar Cafe for a late lunch or dinner.Helpful 11Thanks 2Love this 8Oh no 0 - Shannon H.White House, TN6754105Aug 7, 2024
The food and service were great! I got an omelette and my husband got a Poboy. Everything was made fresh!

This place was seriously so good we ate here twice on our trip. The potatoes were crispy and the omelet was super filling. I was never able to completely finish the meal because it was a lot of food. They had a great coffee selection as well. They can be busy but I honestly liked this place better than some of the other highly reviewed breakfast restaurants and they didn't have as long of a wait time.
The vibe inside is cozy and homey.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 18, 2024
Came here based on Yelp reviews and proximity to my hotel. It's a cute place, great cofee, great staff! I ordered my usual Taste of New Orleans that I order everywhere I go. The gumbo was amazing, red beans and rice, excellent, jambalaya....mid. The biscuit was so good I will be back for breakfast to have them with gravy!!! It's really a 4.5 star review. The staff is so nice!!! Shout out to Masha for letting me hang out during a downpour. I have to get out of here before I order dessert!!!

Streetcar Cafe is awesome! It hides in the middle of the block, but is absolutely worth finding.
The service was great, we had coffee on our table within minutes of arriving. There are a ton of great options for food.
The breakfast sandwich was fantastic. Adding bacon to it made it next level. I'm glad it didn't come with cheese because the flavors balanced so well. The eggs were light and fluffy and the wheat bread was soooo fresh!
Great service, great food!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Apr 9, 2024
I've been to New Orleans many times and stayed in this area but had never tried this place.
We stopped in for lunch because this was right next to the hotel. The service was very speedy and the staff was friendly. I had the lunch special os 1/2 PoBoy with red beans and rice for $16. It was delicious. The PoBoy was loaded with large shrimp, the bread was soft yet crunchy, and the sauce was delicious.
The red beans and rice were fantastic with a nice spicy sausage.
The restaurant was clean and comfortable
I would definitely come back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jun 11, 2024
Went here in the early afternoon right after I landed in NOLA. The interior was brightly decorated and they were pretty busy. Even though it was lunch time, they said I could still order breakfast so I did exactly that. I got some sweet tea and these crab cake egg Benedict. The portion was big, the eggs Benedict and crab cakes were delicious. My only complaint is that the potatoes were a bit overcooked and dry for me.
