Phenomenal atmosphere, our waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu and we ordered tapas style to try most things. Will definitely be back.

This place has been reliably excellent for the last decade.
The environment is always warm and welcoming, and the food has never let me down. Last night I was with my parents, I had the chicken with gnocchi, mom had the duck lo mein, dad had the scallops and shrimp with risotto. All three had great flavor and texture, a great meal to take your time with.
The server was Marisa, great blend of warmth and professionalism - when we started discussing mocktails and what she recommended, she was quick and detailed about what she liked and why, and steered me to the right drink for the meal (the beekeeper, I think was the name)
The manager did a quick "table touch" where he checked in with us about how it was going, but without lingering - the timing of everything and everyone who worked there felt great. I respect both the consistency and the quality a lot.

The chicken and gnocchi- popular, and I get it.

The menu seems to be pretty much the same as last year. The food was okay, nothing too special. The cheeseboard was basic, nothing extraordinary. The ravioli looked nice but was kind of bland. The steak was good, and the aioli was the best part of the potatoes. The meatballs were tasty, but everything else was just average.

If you plan to have a conversation at your table, avoid sitting in the window seats at the bar. The view of the park is great, but there's this equipment at the corner that makes it impossible to have a normal conversation every 5 minutes when the cooler motor kicks on. It's frustrating - you shouldn't have to scream over dinner here.

Also, the entrance path from the front sidewalk to the side entrance gets too crowded, and it's a fire hazard when people are waiting to be seated and you're trying to leave.

We travel to Philly for work several times per year. Always stay downtown and we try different local spots as often as possible.

Holy moly this place is beautiful. The quaint open garden entrance alone is lovely. Inside you'll find an eclectic mix of decor from the flatware to the wallpaper. It is really beautiful.

The meatball appetizer alone was super impressive. Delicious sauce we were soaking up with our bread. My wife had the chicken and I tried the pasta with sausage. This is one of the best meals we've had in the city. They print a new menu daily and we can't wait to come back and try something new!

Our server was a moment away at all times. We never had an empty glass and we moved through our courses perfectly.

You must try this place if you haven't been. It will not disappoint!

What a quaint little gem in Philly. Had an absolute blast with the wife on date night. I had the crispy branzino while my wife had the chicken and gnocchi.
The Cocktails (Camper (?) & the Gimlet and the house Syrah were delish. Definitely a must try in the city.

Great food and great ambiance. The tuna tartare had a lot of deconstructed sauces that paired well with the tuna and looked very aesthetically pleasing. The pasta was fresh and paired well with the creamy green sauce on the side as it balanced the acidity of the tomato sauce. The seasonal desserts were great. We got the crème brûlée and deconstructed strawberry/rhubarb pie. The strawberry/rhubarb dessert was light and refreshing. I'd love to come again and try their brunch menu next time.

I recently visited Talula's Garden with three friends to celebrate a birthday. We made a reservation and ended up with a somewhat unusual seating arrangement--by the bar behind a wall. Despite the initial oddity, this spot turned out to be a blessing. It provided a quiet, isolated corner away from the loud and bustling main dining area, which was actually quite nice.

One of the standout features of Talula's Garden is its delicious local and seasonal menu. As a chef, I really appreciated their commitment to sourcing ingredients locally, like their lamb from a nearby farm. It's always a plus to see restaurants supporting local agriculture.

We indulged in a variety of dishes and drinks, and I was particularly pleased with their non-alcoholic beverage menu--a perfect option for me. We ordered the fish, lamb, chicken, pasta, and a few specials (be sure to ask the server about the specials menu!). They also offer both still and sparkling water, covering all the bases.

After tasting a bit of everything, I can say that the ingredients were undeniably fresh and of high quality. However, the flavors didn't quite come together for me across the variety of dishes. Everything was cooked and executed well, but the overall taste was just okay.

The pasta stood out as pretty good, while the branzino fell flat. The chicken was tasty, and the desserts were nice and fresh. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but there wasn't anything particularly exceptional that would compel me to go out of my way to return.

Talula's Garden is a solid choice for a date spot or a special occasion, but it's not a place I'd hurry back to. If you do visit, try specific dishes that might resonate more with your palate.

Tucked away in the bustling City of Brotherly Love, there is a hidden gem, a tranquil garden restaurant that reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. It's been on my list of must visits for a long time.

Our fabulous and attentive waiter, Tyler, started us off with explaining which drinks can be made into a mocktail for me and my son. I appreciate the patience.

      Here is what we ordered:

      Apps:
      - Candied Bacon Strips (like eating delicious sweet & spicy beef jerky)
      - Dandelion & Baby Romaine Caesar, Sweet & Savory Figs, Lemon Scented Sourdough Crotons with Parmesan Dressing (my son and I loved it)

      Entrees:
      - Eggs Royale with Smoked Salmon Benedict
      - Southern Shrimp & Grits with Sweet Gulf Shrimps
      - Double Patties Smashburger with Talula's Secret Sauce

      Sides:
      - Fresh Baked Cheddar-Chive Biscuit with Salted Honey Black Pepper Butter
      - Single Pancake

I would skip the fresh baked cheddar-chive biscuits. It was served cold and wasn't as soft as I would have liked. The chive flavor didn't come through. We all loved the simple pancake. It was airy and yummy, this is how a pancake should be. The winner is the Smashburger, it was juicy, perfectly cooked and the bun was soft. I love the taste of high quality beef. I enjoyed the unusual fries as well. I'm guessing they cut it up and blistered the potato skin that made it curled up. I couldn't stop eating them.

Dress Code: Smart Casual but I saw most of the women here in pastel floral printed dresses. I was all in black. Hey, what can I say, I'm from New York City.

Came in to celebrate an anniversary and sat out in the garden. We loved being surrounded by all the flowers and greenery. The menu is extensive and almost overwhelming as it is a huge wall of text on paper.
Our server Tyler was fantastic- they were very friendly and patient and offered recommendations, answering our questions with a smile.
We started with the crispy lamb belly, which was served with a knife that we did not end up needing. It was so tender and pulled apart so easily our jaws dropped! The eggplant baba and corn relish complimented the lamb so wonderfully and we wish the dish was larger!
My partner opted for the roasted chicken and gnocchi. The chicken breast was cooked to perfection, perfectly juicy and not at all dry with a crispy skin. The truffle & taragon 'gravy' was savory and well seasoned. I had the sea scallop & shrimp risotto. The scallops and shrimp were also cooked perfectly with a nice sear on the outside and juicy inside. The risotto was lovely, but I did feel that the lemon scent/flavoring got overwhelming halfway through the entrée. The entrée portion sizes were hefty which we appreciated.
Tyler highly recommended the donuts, which we took to-go and thoroughly enjoyed. I am not a donut fan, but they were so wonderfully fluffy and the lemon cream and huckleberry sauce added a nice tart & fresh dimension to elevate the dish. They also gave us a free dessert of coconut cake with caramel and strawberry cream for our celebration. The cake was dense yet fluffy, reminiscent of Japanese-style cheesecake. The caramel was delicious and definitely house-made. We loved celebrating our anniversary here and would love to dine here again next time we are in the area.

As always, excellent food, 5 star service, and great atmosphere. We dined outside. The staff filled our waters promptly, brought food out quickly, and were pleasant and enjoyable! The food was great - big portions for the entrees. We all left full and happy.

LOVE this place!!!! Incredible, flavorful food, nice staff, pretty interior, and a beautiful garden. I loved their mango margarita cocktail, it was called The Wanderer. Good flavor and they can make it spicy too! Definitely want to go back and try more items on the menu.
