I didn't see a kids menu so we ordered a side of plain noodles for our 4 year old and he loved them.

One of our favorite stops for ramen in the city. Their broth is more pork based so it's deliciously rich.
The Ninniku (garlic) tonkatsu ramen with a side of cho cho kara (extra spicy spice bomb) is an indulgence
The chasudon is a savory rice dish with braised pork and truffle Mayo that will keep you wanting more after every bite
The garlic fried rice is a comfort meal and if you want to have more flavor ask them to do it with the chasudon. It's amazing
The Japanese curry came with super crispy chicken and the curry is rich and perfectly salted.
We have not been disappointed by any of their menu options.
Ambiance is lively and with dimmer/soft lighting. They had some japanese animation playing in the background when we've visited. Service is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend for this food is a hug for your stomach any day/night of the weekHelpful 0Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kayla T.Sacramento, CA485083Jun 24, 2024
Came into the restaurant around 1pm on a Monday. Not busy at all. From hostess was sweet and attentive. Once sat down, was ignored by 3 different waiters. No information on the menu and not given a menu. So I looked online and found what I wanted. You know you don't wanna cause an issue, raise your hand, or get in the way of someone, and you'd think they would come to you because you were seated. 15 mins pass by, finally one of the three waiters came to ask if I needed anything. Of course I did because I'm sitting at your restaurant. I got some water, ordered my meal. The hostess even came by and made sure I was okay! Got my food, the man who brought out my food was amazing as well.
Anyways, I got the garlic fried rice. Crispy and tasty but was heavily drenched in oil. 3/5 (would order again but ask for less oil)
I also got the Ninnuki Tonkatsu Ramen which lacked flavor and was heavily oily as well. 2/5.
I really wanted to enjoy this place but with the service and the oiliness of the food, I'd find some place else!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 1, 2024
Tamashi Ramen is the most authentic ramen house for my husband who served in Okinawa. He was so impressed for how spot on all the food is here.
Walking in I just love the atmosphere. A nice open patio outside and then greeted with a dark cozy dining area perfect for setting the mood of a cozy dinner experience.
The service is always top notch when we go in too. No judgement if you don't pronounce the menu items correctly, and always great advice on what to order or how to order something.
We always get the gyoza and are working our way through trying multiple items on the menu. My current fave is the mazeman and of course the spicy chashu ramen.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 2313868Aug 9, 2024
When you get there you have to scan a QR code and place yourself on the wait list. It took about 30 minutes before we were seated. Would have probably been 20 minutes but we didn't want to sit in the bar area. Food was delicious and filling. It was super cold inside I wish I had brought a jacket with me.

Get here early. We happen to be driving in from Dallas and walked in. We were lucky enough to grab 3 patio bar seats. Otherwise indoor seating was packed and there was quite a wait for a table.
The bonus about sitting on the patio is that there was a heater above us so we were nice and toasty (it was a bit of a chilly day, 50deg)
Even tho the host said that the noodle maker was on the Fritz, we got our ramen pretty quickly. Butter miso corn broth was milky and full of flavor. We loved searching the soup to find corn, scallion, and sliced bamboo. The best part was the noodle. It had a bite to it and paired with the silky broth, you just kept wanting another bite and another bite..
The chashu bowl was so savory and the pork was chopped and sitting on top of the rice. Great alternative to ramen if you aren't craving noodles. The bowls are kinda small so do you self a favor and order the large (it's not large like usual Texas size bowls.)
I loved the shishito pepper appetizer, has a great sauce and out of all the peppers only one was spicy.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 24, 2024
I really wanted to try this spot for a while and unfortunately I was underwhelmed. Plus, the food didn't sit well with my wife's stomach. It must be very popular among young, hipster, Gen Z and Gen Y patrons, because as I looked around, I'm pretty sure we were the only Gen Xers in the place (wait staff included).
Anywho, the menu photos looked awesome, but once there we realized that pork (pork belly specifically) was in almost every dish and we don't eat pork. We were left with substituting our Spicy Miso and Garlic Ramen with grilled and fried chicken with vegetable broth. I am more of a Pho eater and I expected more flavor that just wasn't there.
For appetizers we ordered the Karaage chicken and fried Takoyaki dumplings (w/ octopus) and they were very tasty. Although, we think either the octopus didn't sit well with my wife or there may have been some pork remnants in her ramen. I also wanted to try the garlic fried rice, but of course it was a pork dish, so I opted for the Gyudon rice bowl with finely shredded beef. It was just okay at first, but I felt like something was missing.
We asked the waiter if there was a side of teriyaki sauce I could add to my rice bowl, and he said they offered a similar sauce (can't recall the name) for another $1. It turned the dish up a notch and tasted better after I stirred it in. We have more mature palette's at this stage of life and have experienced good and bad food as well as service. What was acceptable at 20 is not the same at 50 when it comes to dining and there were just a lot of minor things that could be improved upon.
The lemonade was fountain Minute Maid and not good in any way, shape or form. The extra dollar I had to fork out for more flavor was absurd. The waiter brought our drinks, but provided no straws until we asked, and when he brought our three cartons of leftovers after we ate, there was no bag. Like, do I really need to walk out of here with 2 containers of soup and a Styrofoam carton in hand? We had to ask for a bag too. I've just come to expect more at this stage of life, but to the young patrons who seem to frequent this spot, have at it. I'll stick with my Pho spot for soup.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Brian S.Oklahoma City, OK061Aug 10, 2024
Ramen was tasty as always, but the braised pork belly in our ramen looked like it was cooked in a sou vide with no color. It lacked the deep flavor from being braised. Disappointing because we took a guest from out of town and the food wasn't up to its usual quality.

Experience was fine. Not too long of a wait on a Friday at noon for a party of 4.
Takoyaki was crispy and octopus chunk was good.
Spicy miso ramen with tofu subbed in for meat was good, a bit too much corn for me. The noodles had a great consistency though! I'll probably opt for a different ramen next time for better toppings hehe.
Service was kind and refilled my water as needed :)
Took a long time to collect our bill.
Overall, a good experience!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 29, 2024
the ramen was worth the wait! Very filling and hit the spot!
This ramen spot had two different sections to sit in. One inside and one in a "outside" area. The inside area where my family and I sat was very dim lit. So I'd safe you plan on having a intimate date here, do it...lol might set the mood. My family and I did have to wait about 45 ish minutes before getting seated but probably because it's a pretty busy spot.
I got the Spicy Ramen and replaced the ground pork for slices of pork. When I tell you this ramen was sooo good! I normally don't finish my ramen bowl because the bowls are always so big but I finished it down to drinking the rest of the broth!
I wish I could remember what cocktail I got but it was pretty good and so was the sake. I def recommend coming here if you're looking for a good ramen spot in the OKC area.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Feb 5, 2024
After reading some online reviews and recommendations from locals, I decided to give Tamashii Ramen a try on a Wednesday for dinner. I arrived right at 6pm and had no trouble getting a seat at the bar. (By the time I left, there was a wait for a table.) I loved sitting at bar because I got to see the cooks working. I love how they hustled and worked as a team.
My server was very nice and recommended her favorite ramen: the spicy miso ramen, which I ended up going with. I also added an egg (lots of other things you can add, too.) The ramen came out piping hot and the noodles weren't quite cooked all the way, but they definitely were five minutes later. The egg was done to perfection and the broth itself was super tasty and creamy. The spiciness was pretty low but it had a kick to it Overall, really good ramen in a lively ambiance.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
