The omelet could easily be split between two people. They have the shredded potato hash browns which are my favorite . The eggs are whipped in an ice cream cup mixer and I have never ever seen that nor have I ever eaten a fluffier omelet ever. It was like magic. My friend had the cheeseburger and fries and also hit the spot. The mocha freeze was yummylicious
Ice tea was so so. Had a great server and the man running the grill was THE GRILL MASTER
Never eaten there even though I have lived here for about 10 years. Never wanted to wait in line. It was our lucky day

This is a cheese spinach bacon tomato omelet with an Arnold Palmer and a mocha freeze

Come for the food and the show. We arrived here, near faint, from a foodless cookout we attended in nearby Audubon Park.

I was introduced to this as a family favorite and omelettes were recommended but I went for the Turkey Burger with coleslaw instead. My company enjoyed a delicious looking large omelette with spinach and shrimp and a side of fries. My turkey burger was quite moist... in a good way. Is it possible that is because it was cooked in the juices of whatever was on the grill before it? Perhaps. Unfortunately, the coleslaw was too juicy... in the bad way, for my preference.

What I did enjoy was the perfect amount of snarkiness that the waiter/cook had as we ordered. There was also playful banter between employees. Just enough to connect to humanity but not so much that I began to wonder "don't you have a job to do"

I would definitely visit again especially if I needed saving from a cookout gone afoul. But I definitely feel the food they excel at you can find in every ward and neighborhood for the same quality. So, it wouldn't be a place I make a special trip for.

Not the same place I remember.

The food was so so, the friendly showtime service gone.

Don't get me wrong, the food was fine. It wasn't bad, but it didn't have the same quality that I remembered.

I ordered a brunch time red beans and rice plate with a side of pork chop. I wasn't impressed by either the portion size or the taste. Again, not terrible, but it was simple to me. I should have gone with the Special Omelet.

My kids and my brother enjoyed their pancakes with a side of bacon and scrambled eggs. The coffee was fine and our server kept us topped off.

My brother mentioned that after the place was bought out, the daps and in your face greetings and presentation that the place was known for was non-existent during this visit. That said our server was fine, but un-animated.

I was impressed with how fast we were seated. We didn't have to wait too long, but long gone are the lines that went out the door - in old days gone by, maybe.

The ambiance is very diner-esque. And the Camellia Grill might just be another diner now.

Small locals dinner, good clean food. Not overly seasoned or filled with butter and sodium. I also love the option of Cajun seasoning.

Service was great. Our waiter was personable and polite. Food also was prepared, right next to us. We watched our meals being cooked.

We ordered, sausage omelette with shrimp and mushroom. Judy's omelette, and shrimp poboy w/ bacon and fries with brown gravy. Also ordered cheese grits as a side to the omelettes. Staff were friendly too.

Zero exaggeration, everything was absolutely delicious, came out fast and fresh.

I was born and raised in New Orleans. Haven't been here in awhile and it is DISGUSTING. Everything about it. Not sure what was in that white liquid the omelets are made of. Place is filthy.

Loved the vibe here, super chill, we got the burgers and hot dogs with a vanilla and chocolate freeze (their version of a milkshake) and they were fantastic. Would definitely come again.

This place is a hug for breakfast. Seating is limited so go early. Basic menu but they do it all GREAT! And the people here...the sweetest. If we go back to NOLA we will go here in a heartbeat.

Camellia is a great place to grab lunch or a quick bite if you're in the area!! I've heard the breakfast is fantastic but I didn't get a chance to try it. I had a catfish po boy and a burger and they were both amazing!! The staff is super friendly and really fun to talk with. It's a unique dining experience if you ever get the chance you should come visit!
