Very friendly service and nice ambience. Came in on a Friday afternoon and was seated immediately and was attended to by staff right away. Everyone working here is so kind and welcoming. Would come again and recommend it for those in the area!

      1 check-in

"One of the best Thai restaurants I've been to," says my wife and she's not wrong. This tiny shop has many accolades and it's not hot air. It's worth a visit for dine in or takeout.

My family grabbed a seat on a Saturday around 1 p.m. with no problem. Within minutes our order was being taken.

The green curry with chicken is large and flavorful. My wife loved the papaya salad with seafood and our seven-year-old daughter loved the fried rice.

      Food is inconsistent. Good waitstaff.

I came during the weekend, when the lunch special wasn't available, but the sign was still displayed by the front door. I wish it was more clear, which became a pattern at this restaurant. My friend and I weren't too hungry. When we tried to share an entry and appetizer, we were told we needed to add a drink. That's nowhere on the menu.

The food was inconsistent: I ordered the Thai Iced Tea (delicious), the Top Thai Spring Roll (alright), Pad Thai with Shrimp. The Pad Thai wasn't too sweet, but there was something wrong with the shrimp. It was very fishy and tasted like it had gone bad. The waitstaff were super sweet and fixed this right away for us, swapping the shrimp with a different protein.

It is very odd for me.
First we mention on the menu the lunch special is Monday to Friday and except for holiday too on the display board.
Second we always serve the fresh ingredients to costumers.

I came in after a long day. I was greeted by aggressive waitresses trying to have you order more than you want. They were so rude to me and the customers especially the night I was there.

A few examples while observing during my dining experience:
      1. One of them asked if she could take my plate away while I was clearly not done eating and taking a quick breather to digest.
      2. Seeing a same sex couple wanting to sit at a certain table, getting declined and being asked to sit at a certain table instead.
      3. seeing a party of 3 have to wait outside because their friend who was the third one was running late. It shouldn't matter especially when the friends were present and told the waitress that she's a couple minutes late.
      4. Being chased by one of them demanding a tip when tipping should be what about how my overall dining experience was like. Tipping is not a requirement. It's voluntary.

Decided to give Top Thai another try. I ordered the lunch special, which comes with an appetizer (I chose the Thai green salad) and an entrée. I had the pad kha pow with chicken, which had Thai basil, garlic, onions, and bell peppers in a chili-basil sauce.

Definitely a better experience than last time and cemented Top Thai's place in my head as a solid quick sit-down lunch option.

NYC has absolutely no shortage of bomb Thai cuisine. My friend and I were trying to find a spot for a casual late dinner on a Monday evening, and I'm grateful we found Top Thai. It has a small interior, and I was pretty surprised with how it was relatively busy on a Monday, but grateful there wasn't a wait!

The happy hour is amazing here! They have such a great assortment of fun, fruity and appetizing cocktails, and they were pretty much doing happy hour until closing. So of course, we both got Lychee cocktails (I got the Bellini and my friend got the Soju cocktail). Both were delicious -- and the owner also gave us a shot as we were finishing up our meal LOL.

The food here is the big star. I had the Duck Panang Curry, and this was phenomenal. I was blown away by the depth of flavor in the curry, and how crispy the duck was. They definitely did not skimp out on the portions as well. My friend got Pineapple Fried Rice with shrimp and that was a very decent portion as well.

The food here surprised me, especially since I'm not a big fan of Thai food. The shrimp dumplings spring rolls were amazing, I could see myself eating that no-stop. The fried chicken was okay. The main dishes were good enough. Note that the food is Halal, so the meat quality was great. The service was great, the waitress made sure to check on us and make sure we are okay.

My favorite Thai place in the area!

It's always bustling, but the wait is not usually too long because they have lots of tables. Service can be a bit slower because the staff are quite busy with so many customers.

My favorite dishes are the spicy basil fried rice and the chicken pad thai - all the food is very authentic and comes out so fresh. The flavors blend together so well, and they have pretty big portion sizes. I also love their thai iced tea!

Overall I would recommend! The dishes are on the pricier side, but I think it's worth it.

The environment is phenomenal. O was extremely wonderful, knowledgeable, and kind. He helped us decide what to order & was so incredibly pleasant.

      We had;
      Crispy duck
      Pad see ew
      Top Thai curry
      Pad kha pow
      Massamun curry
      And many appetizers.

Everything was extremely fresh and flavorful. This was hands down the best Thai we have ever had. We surely will be retuning next time we are in NYC!

This place is okay. Everything is just average. If you're coming from Elmhurst, Queens to eat here. Don't. The price listed is outrageous. From pad thais to stir fried dishes--they all have the same base price in addition to some added charges depending which protein you want with it. Chicken pad Thai for like $20-25?!?

You can get the same quality or even better tasting food for much less $$$ elsewhere. I understand that the cost of living in this neighborhood is much higher but I would not travel to another borough to try this spot. If I worked or lived around the area, I'm sure I would eat here again.
