Is this a Vegan friendly restaurant?

They're friendly to everyone :) While some dishes can be made vegetarian, there is only one dish currently on the dinner menu that is Vegan - the Cauliflower Steak - it's delicious!

Out of our many dinner adventures, Town Hall provided the best scallops and wine combo I have ever had. The Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo was 9/10, and the ambience was lively and fun. Definitely consider the brownie desert, it is shareable and delicious. The service was great with our waiter Martin; he recommended great wine pairings. Although the seating may be close and during peak hours, it was loud in the dining room, we had a great time.

I can't believe I haven't been here before.
It's located conveniently in San Marco.
We went on a Sunday afternoon so there was adequate free street parking.
I liked the cosy, charming, elegantly casual ambience.
I could hear music from the late 70's-80's in the background which was great while enjoying the food with pleasant company.
Our waiter was very polite and accommodating.
We were seated with a nice view of the kitchen staff hard at work.
We sampled a few items from the menu and some non alcoholic drinks and everything tasted wonderful. There were options for smaller portions of the main dishes for those with smaller appetites.
I felt I got value for my money and a great evening out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 18, 2024
My wife and I visited Town Hall while in Jacksonville, which is based in the San Marco suburb area along with a variety of other shops and restaurants. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get a table, and our waiter, Michael, was friendly and very attentive.
I ordered the filet medium rare which was cooked closer to medium/medium well, but still tender. The cut of filet was nice, but I did not like the sauce it was presented in. It's displayed beautifully and is a very original approach, I just did not prefer it. My wife enjoyed her Roast Chicken very much.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 828114Apr 27, 2024Updated review
TLDR; Attentive service, fantastic, but pricey drinks, nice MCM decor. Food highlights: brussel sprouts and roast chicken. As long as you don't order the filet (which has a decent chance of being overcooked), you'll likely have a great experience.
After our less than stellar experience last time, we waited almost a year to return and it was much improved. However, the issue I had with my filet being overcooked happened again! This time, to my husband. He ordered his filet medium rare (should have some red and pink), but it was served medium well (barely any pink). He was about to point it out to our server and before he even said anything, our server recognized it and said "it's overcooked?" and immediately offered to bring another one out. Instead of the 30+ minutes that I waited to get my filet last time, he only waited about 5 minutes and a manager brought it over himself and apologized, which we really appreciated.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jun 24, 2023Previous reviewThe service and food when we went last week were not the quality that we've come to expect from Town Hall. I ordered the filet medium but got it WELL DONE- there was absolutely no pink and it was grey, dry, and chewy. It was inedible. I apologetically pointed it out and was assured that I would promptly have it remade. Then I waited...and waited...and waited. My husband had finished his meal and half of his post-dinner drink by the time I got my dinner. So technically I didn't eat WITH him, I ate AFTER him. We had plans to meet up with friends after dinner and the delay made us 1/2 hour late. And I didn't necessarily expect to get anything discounted from the bill, but that would've been a nice way to acknowledge the huge inconvenience this caused, especially since we've been very happy, loyal customers in the past. To top it off, the dish I eventually received was SO salty. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great. I'm sure I'll be back again, but not anytime soon.
That said, it makes me soooo sad to give this mediocre review. Town Hall has been my favorite Jacksonville restaurant and I've been there at least a dozen times- this is where we'd go to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, buying our house...you get the idea.
The pros of the night were the (always fabulous) Brussel sprouts and the cocktails. - Jul 17, 2024
Love the tastings they do here each week. I always go for the bubbles tasting and the loaded French fries are out of this world!! So foodie and that black garlic aioli is my jam. Tried the mushroom truffle grilled cheese tonight and it was gbd. They have been amazing for years and am so glad they continue!!!!

This is a nice restaurant located in the San Marco area. Parking can be challenging as with anything in the area. We did luck out with a space that was fairly close. We made early reservations so we were sat right away. We did sit in the back area which is a little close together but the place was fairly empty so not an issue. We did like the overall atmosphere. The front has high tops and the bar / lounge area while the back had tables for 2 or more people. The back area is connected to the kitchen area. Our server was great and she knew the menu well. She made great suggestions and really took care of us. We ordered the duck fat cornbread and it was delicious! I had the half roasted chicken with broccolini and whipped potatoes. My wife ordered a side of Mac and cheese which she added chicken too and a side of broccolini. The food is fabulous. The potatoes were so creamy and delicious and the broccolini was cooked perfectly. The side of Mac and cheese was a meal in itself. The chicken was so tender and the harissa syrup was good. There were a few pieces with a heavy dose that was a bit overwhelming but when spread out the taste is great. We did order a vanilla crème brûlée which was delicious. Overall, we had a great dining experience and would recommend Town Hall.

My husband and I love coming here for date nights. They have a great, romantic atmosphere and host a lot of special events and themed wine tastings, so you can have a different, special experience each time you visit. Some of my favorite things on their menu have been the Cured + Aged plate (we love cheese, especially Manchego), the fries with black garlic aioli, and the penne mac and cheese.

Phenomenal food and great service and stellar ambiance. Walking in it feels like you're in a friends new house kitchen with the marble counter tops kitchen style with a living room waiting area. Very cozy feel yet spacious.

My delightful experience at the quaint yet upscale restaurant in San Marco began with the exceptional kindness and accommodation displayed by the hostess, despite our lack of reservation. Early this morning, my fiancé and I enjoyed a delicious brunch that surpassed our expectations.
While the menu seemed somewhat limited, the server showcased great flexibility by allowing me to mix and match components of different dishes to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Our choices--scrambled eggs with fries and black garlic aioli for me, and soft scramble farm eggs for him--earned unanimous approval. The bacon, in particular, was a standout, lauded by my fiancé as the best he'd ever had at a brunch spot.
Accompanying our meal were mimosas, slightly leaning towards a heavier orange juice presence but maintaining a delicious quality. Post-brunch, I treated myself to a Cold brewtini, a unique coffee-centric vs alcohol-centric twist reminiscent of an espresso martini, I found it to be a delightful conclusion to the meal.
The only critique I would offer, which could have significantly enhanced the experience, was the discomfort of the chairs. Understandably, given the restaurant's busy nature, it might be a strategic choice considering more comfortable seating could encourage patrons to linger longer.
Despite this, the total bill, almost $70 after a 20% tip, felt reasonable considering the overall quality of the experience. The combination of delectable food, friendly service, and atmosphere made our visit to the heart of San Marco truly memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to those seeking a tasteful blend of culinary delights and warm hospitality.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 29297Mar 16, 2024
I've been a few times and always have an amazing experience. We went most recently on a last minute reservation for their Valentine's Day menu and omg was it amazing. So worth the money spent -- never felt rushed, enjoyed amazing food, and had the most impeccable service.
