Valvoline Instant Oil Change

This was a great experience from start to finish.

I researched places to get an oil change on-line last night, then I found myself running errands today and thought screw it, googled it on my phone, found I was near this location, so I called and spoke with "Cliff" who said he could give me a blended synthetic oil change for $79.99 but would text me a coupon for $10 off that, which he did. I mean, 15 minutes in and out, no appointment, and you can stay in your car? What's not to love right?

When I got there, it was so well organized, and I do love that. It was obvious that whoever designed this place thought of EVERYTHING. It was like every step was choreographed, all the employees were in sync with each other.

So, one guy signaled me into the bay, like one of those people on an airport tarmac helping bring the planes into the gate. Then another guy came up to my driver's side window, extended a huge computer monitor so I could see everything, and began setting up the oil change. The one thing I didn't notice at first was that the previous oil change sticker (I bought this car from a friend) said 100% synthetic, so maybe I should have gone with that. Minor issue.

While Nick was intaking all my info, someone else was doing the actual oil change. Nick reset my oil meter to 100% (showed me how to do it, in case I ever change my oil myself) ... when the change was finished another guy came up with the dipstick to show the oil level and how clean it was.

Another guy stood outside to help me exit onto 19th Avenue then gave me a friendly goodbye wave and thanked me.

I don't think it even took 15 minutes.

Total out the door about $78 with tax and waste fee.

PS the invoice indicates they checked a lot of stuff under the hood and also the tire pressure and TBH I don't remember whether the hood was up long enough for them to do all that. I was busy talking to Nick and setting up the transaction.

Easiest spot to run in and out of, perfect for busy parents. I've gone to them for years and usually out of there in less than 20 minutes. You can even get your wipers changed and they check your lights and blinkers which helps. I brought my dog with me the last two times and she sat in the car with me with no issues.

One con, it's tricky once you get out of the garage and onto 19th Ave. Just have to make sure you don't bolt out.

Valvoline was such a great service, that I can't wait to go back again soon! They had a coupon available on the website for a few dollars off, check their website to see if they have any new offers. They additionally gave me very quick and quality service.

As a woman, it can be intimidating getting work done for your car but the man that was helping me was so kind, and I had an additional two woman who were working on my car!! So exciting to see a service that employees women and celebrate gender diversity!!

Overall the experience was quick, service was kind, and I went around 8:30am on a Sunday and there was no line! Would recommend to anyone :)

The value at this place is great, they alway tell you how much things cost, and make recommendations. The wait times are always good. I get immediately or just a short wait.

This is the only place I'll go for oil changes. Everyone is so gosh darn nice, diligent, thorough, and good at what they do. They're the only thing keeping my old beater together these days! Thanks Saul for EXCELLENT SERVICE !

I usually don't put too much stock in Feng Shui, but I admit this is one of the best designed and aesthetically pleasing oil change shops in the Sunset. Prices are fair; make sure you check in on Yelp to get a coupon to make your visit even more worth it!

I love this Valvoline, the staff is always so great. Randy and Julia are A++. These days good staff makes all the difference. Hold on to those amazing employees Valvoline!

I have been going to these quick oil change stations from Valvoline for at least a decade - mostly in Socal so far. This one in SF meets the expectations! It is conveniently located. The people are great, friendly, and thorough! I think I heard military style terms like the NCIS and FBI shows - cooool. Love to support our veterans! I even brought my old janky clunker from college, and there were no judgments shown at least. Heh That is respect for the customer - excellent. And that very car was worked on by a veteran father too - respect. You never know. Everything was done straightforward, and I was on my way!

The prices have gone up quite a bit, but give them a call and see what promotions they have at the time!

After being a loyal customer of Sunset Service Super Lube for many years, the last straw came when I brought my car in for an oil change and did not feel comfortable with the fact that the oil was "really changed". In addition, the level of customer service had seriously taken a steep decline as well.

My experience with Valvoline was quite the opposite. Excellent customer service, quick, and you will never wonder whether they really did what they say they did as they will go out of their way to show you the work they've done. Will go no where else for my oil change from now on!

This place is amazing. I came here for a tire rotation and will be coming here for oil changes as well from now on. Price is very reasonable and they get you out of there quicker. Customer service is great and they have promotions too that the manager helped me apply.
