This place is AMAZING!!! I couldn't recommend it more. We stumbled upon this place after the wait being too long somewhere else. As soon as we walked in we got the friendliest welcoming and sat immediately outside next to a huge fan. Our server, Trisha was just one of a kind! It was so refreshing to have such a great dining experience on a whim! The food was fantastic!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Amazing breakfast service that features scrumptious home potatoes, tasty honey biscuits and some of the best cold brew coffee in NOLA. I ordered the voodoo cold brew and was blown away by how amazing the taste was--and I usually hate cold brew coffee! 8/10 I definitely recommend^^

Do yourself a favor and hop over here for breakfast. The only issue we had was trying to choose from their insanely delicious menu. Service was great and portions were huge. Highly recommend this charming spot

Great little mid city breakfast place. I had been once a good while ago. Long enough that I didn't even remember what I had ordered. This time brought friends who had never been.
The inside is kinda small so it can fill up pretty fast. They do have a couple outside seating options. This day we were able to walk right in no wait.
I went with the biscuits and gravy. That was some of the fluffiest airy biscuits I've tasted. The sausage gravy was also very good.
Just a heads up they don't have booze, but they will do a corking fee if you bring your own I think it was 15 bucks. Don't know if they always allow this but we had walking bloody Mary's I made at the house and my bro in law was wan't quite finished and we were going to stand outside while he finished, but the waitress was like no need go right in.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Richard C.Santa Rosa Beach, FL03May 23, 2024
We won't be back. After our children's award ceremony, we went to enjoy breakfast. Our kids' food came out quickly but my wife's and mine came out half an hour after theirs. The lady then charged me an automatic 20% gratuity due to it being a table of 5. I always tip well but to have that automatically added after screwing up was disgusting. Really, a table of 2 adults and 3 kids? I won't ever go back.

Seriously the best breakfast I've ever had. Great service. I was so hungover and after eating there I was not only no longer hungover, I inexplicably became able to do complex math equations in my head and run marathons.

Wakin' Bakin' is just a few blocks from my house. It's got a great staff, charming vibe, very good food and people love it. Worth a stop for a very casual breakfast or brunch. It sits amongst some groovy burger joints and pubs as well.

Had the Sourdough King and the Sourdough Bread had great flavor, but tried it with the Smashed Hash and was not a fan. The Voodoo Brew was very yummy.

This place doesn't look like much, and actually it's pretty small, but the quality and flavor is evident in what they prepare. Visited the Banks St. location on a Sunday morning and was seated within 15 minutes. There were six in our party and orders included standards like eggs, bacon, grits and pancakes. They do a lot with bacon confit and it really kicks up the flavor. The house blend coffee is very good too.
If you're looking for a great breakfast give Wakin' Bakin' a try. It's got a funky NOLA vibe to it, which is always fun, but the food is definitely worth the trip.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
