Shrimp creole and shrimp po'boy with onion rings were our lunch choices and we couldn't have been happier! The flavor of the shrimp creole was intense with a strong tomato flavor, but the rice and biscuit were welcome accompaniments. Chill vibe in this conveniently located restaurant. Breakfast/brunch looked great as well!

I have to say that we weren't expecting much. Just hungry. But Nazima was our server and she was impeccable. Prompt and fast the New York way. Very courteous and inviting. But also, the food, fresh and the portions were huge. We went for Breakfast, this cozy spot didn't disappoint.

The smell of mop is not necessarily how you want to begin your dining experience, but I'm here because of the reviews!

Once they put my meal, an abundant bowl of shrimp and grits with a Bisquit on the side, I forgot all about the mop. This is FREAKING GOOD!!! Grits are smooth, smooth, smooth, with the perfect amount of cheese and they added a generous amount of perfectly seasoned grilled shrimp. I was quiet while I listened to Alfred Street Church Sermon, and full both belly and spirit by the time I was done. Delicious, delicious, delicious! Service was quick and easy. Go here for a delicious easy dining experience! Also the price tag was just right!!!

I found the food to be good here. I had the zesty seafood omelette and an Irish coffee. There was an even distribution of seafood throughout the omelette. A pet peeve of mine is when ingredients are just dumped in the middle of the eggs so seeing an even mound with even textured, same sized seafood in every bite was incredibly satisfying. The Irish coffee was rich but a tad bitter honestly. My issue with this delicious meal was personal temperature problems. The Irish coffee was supposed to be iced but was, in reality, cool with tiny shards of rapidly melting ice. The omelette was barely lukewarm and downright cold within two bites. The service was a bit uneven as it was hard to flag down waitstaff for anything but that's a bit irrelevant considering how crowded it became.

What I liked was how the staff handled a sudden influx of people who came in because of a sudden downpour and they all sat at the bar. So I realized that sitting at the bar here would have made for a better service experience. Something to keep in mind if you're here alone. I'd go again.

Tried this place for dinner. It's right near the corner of Bourbon and Canal. There's a lot of spot close by but definitely worth hopping in here. Service and friendliness was outstanding and the selection of food will please anyone looking to try creole food. I opted for a taste of NOLA which is a steal in my opinion. It comes with 2 fried green tomatoes, a biscuit and a cup of gumba, jambalaya and red beans and rice. The portions were super filling and everything was amazing.

Even though I hadn't eaten much all day I still struggled to eat all of this because it was so filling but it was super satisfying.

Pricing is really great for the amount of food you get.

Came on a Saturday around 630/7. The crawfish hush puppies were delicious! I love a 'sweeter' hush puppies but decided to give these a try anyways and I'm so glad I did! The etoufee had a little kick to it! Crab cakes aren't 'lumpy' but I wasn't expecting them to be and we were VERY happy with them. Service was fast and friendly! They were packed but still provided great, fast service!

It was nice to be back in New Orleans yesterday, and finding somewhere new for lunch wasn't so easy because according to sources, including Yelp, Tripadvisor, Google, and local articles, there's approximately 1,900 to 2,000 restaurants in Nola. So I settled on one with an impressive 4.5 star rating on Yelp and Tripadvisor, and 4.7 on Google with over 1,000 customers raving about the exceptional food, friendly service, and warm atmosphere.

I was VERY pleased with everything, and can't remember enjoying a Big Easy meal any more than this one at Zesty Creole, is was fantastic!!! Indeed they provide an authentic taste of New Orleans through its menu, which features a wide variety of Creole classics and Southern-inspired dishes. From the flavorful jambalaya to the savory shrimp and grits, all of their dish are made with attention to detail, and those results are an outstanding meal that truly captures the essence of the city. Located at 827 Canal Street in the heart of the city, next to the Ritz, and parking can be challenging but there's public parking just around the corner.

Some of the most popular dishes at Zesty Creole include:
      * Jambalaya: A traditional Louisiana dish consisting of rice, vegetables, and a variety of meats, including sausage, chicken, and shrimp.
      * Gumbo: A rich stew made with seafood or meat, vegetables, and a thick, savory stock.
      * Shrimp Creole: A spicy, tomato-based dish featuring succulent shrimp served over rice.
      * Crawfish Étouffée: A classic Creole dish made with crawfish, vegetables, and a rich, flavorful sauce served over rice.

They also have an extensive breakfast menu that includes loads of choices including alligator, crab cakes, and more which goes to 2pm.

My honey really enjoyed her Creole omelette but I really, really, really enjoyed my choice called
"Taste of Nola". That very tasty combination is a cup of gumbo, red beans and jambalaya served with fried green tomatoes and a fresh homemade biscuit. Eva was out fabulous server and she brought out everything piping hot and super fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of this combo and can not wait to return here!!!

Bottom line: With its outstanding food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere, Zesty Creole is a must-visit destination for foodies and anyone looking to experience the true taste of New Orleans.

Stopped by pretty early in the day and there weren't many people up and about yet so it was pretty empty, but they did seem to be busy with takeout orders.

Got seated promptly and ordered the Zesty Seafood Omelette. It was well seasoned and delicious. The portion size was pretty big as well. Wish I had gotten the chance to go back and try their other items.
