Vile Governor of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer admits her policy failed.

Interviewer: "Michigan was one of the last states to lift a cap on public gatherings in June of 2021 by comparison Florida lifted its cap in Sept. of 2020 but death rate for Florida from June of 2020 to June of 2021 was 39.6 per hundred thousand.  The death rate for Michigan was 97.3 per hundred thousand so more than double.  Hindsight's 2020 but looking back at some of these numbers do you think you overreacted."

Retchen Whitmer: "If I could go back in a time machine I would do things different.  In terms of illegal lockdowns it snow clear that they don't make a lot of sense."

Hardware stores were closed and seeds were outlawed and yet bigbox stores were open and riots became standard. Retchen Whitmer admits she failed when removing US Constitutional rights. As a result she's directly responsible that died as per her horrific illegal lockdowns.

    Alt left fascism.

  1. Ask yourself if you prefer your economic income over the loss of any one of your immediate family members.

That should answer the question on a personal level, as well as at scale for the global population.

  2. Or another way: are *you* willing to lose even one of your immediate family members so that *I* can maintain my financial well-being?

  3. Why validate the justification made by those that closed the world. Of course they'll say that. Better to question their mortality statistics and their contention that there ever was the trade off you describe.

  4. That's what the Chinese government claimed when the first doctor viral video came out. He was even arrested/detained for "spreading lies".

Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing to see here. Right, Markus?

  5. Yes it's that simple. If you're not willing to give up your family's existence, rightly so, for the economic benefit of another, then why should anyone make that sacrifice?

What exactly is a "benefit to society" if you take the basic foundation of it away -- living people.

  6. Or were you implying that those whom were old aged, or have underlying health issues, who would have otherwise led a longer life, are worth sacrificing for what you believe is a larger social good?

Power went out again.  Cant get a break  it's rain or electricity.

  7. ^^ Protect the vulnerable. Which doesn't mean locking everybody, healthy or otherwise, in their houses.  There's a lot of data that supports a conclusion that this was not a wise way to go. The choice you two discuss is a false one.

  8. Talk about false premise --- Who are these "everybody" that got locked in their houses here in the US?

  9. Yes I am serious.

The local rules/ordinances barred business owners from mandating employees to come in to work in a closed environment.

They barred unrelated people from coming together to party etc etc.

Where did they bar you from leaving your house to go outdoors or visiting family?

And what is the "false" choices we were discussing?

  10. Hindsight is 20/20 and looking back, we now know that mortality rate is much lower for the young and healthy. We didn't know that during the year 2020.

  11. When you see a potential danger up ahead on the road, you don't gas your vehicle to get there quicker to find out.

Most sane people *apply the brakes and slow down* until you're sure it's safe (or not).

  12. And that's exactly what the CDC proposed, and rightly so. Until you're sure you don't throw around hypotheticals, assuming everything is fine, and play with people's lives.

  13. And that is exactly the sort of apathy that caused so many of the workers to die from COVID at the meat/chicken processing plants.

  14. Jay might add: "... And anything else?"

  15. The risk profile for healthy/younger v the unhealthy, those with co-morbidities, was absolutely known from the early going.  Without question.

After decades of unfriendly policy, California's hazardous small business economic climate continues to garner national attention.

According to a new study from WalletHub, the state is home to some of the worst cities in the nation for small business. The website's "2017's Best & Worst Small Cities to Start a Business" survey looked at 1,261 cities around the country with a population between 25,000 and 100,000. Each city was then ranked on three major levels: business environment, access to resources, and business costs.

"Many small cities in California are still struggling from an economic standpoint and have not fully recovered from the recession," Jill Gonzalez, an analyst with WalletHub, told Inc. "While some northern cities are still recruiting top talent, many Southern California cities are not as fortunate in the startup department. The businesses in these small cities have declining revenue and little to no industry variety," she added.

The term "Bidenomics" has become synonymous with the economic policies of the Biden administration and let's be frank, they have failed on every possible level. I can't bite my tongue any longer on this. Bidenomics is not only crushing the American spirit but it's making millions of Americans dependent on our government, which is not the American dream and will have chilling effects on the future of this nation.

While presented as a plan to bolster the financial well-being of Americans, a closer look at the Bidenomics fact sheet reveals a different story -- one where the average American is shouldering the burden of inflation and increasingly high-interest rates due to Bidenomics.

The effects of these policies are far more pronounced than what the media and the administration are willing to admit. So while the media and the Biden administration is not willing to speak the truth, I will speak out on this.

Recent data from the U.S. Census Bureau, analyzed in depth by Stephen Moore in his recent New York Post op-ed, paints a troubling picture of the state of poverty in America.

What's most shocking in this data is the sharp increase in poverty rates for both adults and children. In just a year, from 2021 to 2022, poverty in America rose from 7.8% to 12.4%, marking an alarming increase of 58.9%. Equally concerning is the fact that the child poverty rate also doubled, soaring from 5.2% to 12.4%.

The Bay Area shed 5,200 jobs last month amid a faltering market, and even worse, the nine-county region tallied employment drops for three consecutive months, a new report shows.

Job losses in the South Bay, East Bay and San Francisco and San Mateo counties led the regional decline, state labor officials reported Friday. September's setbacks in the Bay Area were driven by a loss of well more than 4,000 tech jobs.

"The Bay Area economy may have shifted from just treading water to a period of backsliding under the weight of higher for longer interest rates, slowing consumer and business demand, and weaker growth in Asia and around the globe," said Scott Anderson, chief U.S. economist and managing director with BMO Capital Markets.

The worst September losses came in the San Francisco-San Mateo metro area, where employers chopped a net total of 4,100 jobs, the state Employment Development Department reported.

The South Bay lost 1,800 jobs and the East Bay shed 1,600 jobs, the state reported. All the numbers were adjusted for seasonal volatility.

California's employment engine has ground to a near halt. The state added just 8,700 jobs in September, marking the fourth consecutive month the state gained fewer than 10,000 jobs.

Biden to raise cost of energy in attempt to reduce small energy producers. The Biden administration approved new regulations that mimic existing regulations Saturday aimed at reducing methane gas emissions, but some elected officials and trade groups are concerned they disproportionately target small businesses.

The big multinationals have the luxury of having deep pockets," Republican North Dakota Sen. Kevin Cramer told Politico. He said that some smaller oil producers lack the same resources as big oil corporations and viewed the regulations as expensive and similar to already existing state-level rules.

San Franclosure: Macys Historic Union Square Flagship store to close. A landmark since 1947 & one of the last, few remaining retail destinations in downtown San Fransicko. This will cost at least 400 jobs and the surrounding area faces further economic devastation. All of the remaining small business will feel the pain from such fallout. Alt left fascism, leftist extremism, Commiefornia theft & taxation, gang warfare, drugged out criminals & crooked SF politicians are all directly to blame. SF will never be Detroit? Never say never after Biden/Harris unconstitutional lockdowns. It's as if somehow shutting down the economy for 2 years was a bad idea.

San Francisco Macy's to close in devastating blow to downtown. The timing comes as Breed faces a tough reelection campaign this year, with voters worried about the city's struggling downtown and a looming budget deficit.

California Workers Arrive at Restaurant to Find It Closed Thanks to Newsom's $20 Minimum Wage.

Restaurant workers at a Foster's Freeze location in California arrived at work this week to find they had lost their jobs because it had closed, thanks to a $20 minimum wage signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) that took effect April 1.

Monday, as California's minimum wage for fast food workers rose to $20 an hour, the Foster's Freeze in Lemoore permanently closed.

The assistant general manager, Monica Navarro, told Action News it was because of the wage increase, saying the owner told her he could not afford the new salaries.

Some of the employees thought it was an April Fool's Day joke.

As Breitbart News reported last month, citing the Wall Street Journal, many California restaurants had already begun to lay off workers in anticipation of the mandatory wage hike.

Commiefornia's unemployment rate is officially the nation's highest, at 5.3% as of February.

politicians...  I also thought the min wage could not be changed from what we voted on it at.  $16  not the $20.  Note PG&E  claimed they needed to raise electric  rates to make improvements.  Yes they managed to increase profits this year!

BART  extension trains for San Jose. .  Since the south bay wont use them for 10 years due to delays till 2035.   SF county will use them and and give us back used old trains when they are needed.    PG&E will meantime  implement the price increase for regular users of about $25./ month    This will allow low wage households to only pay $13 / month.   Low wage is  $31k a year  or  ave $15 /hour  sorry fast food workers.

Rubio's says it's closing over 50 locations in California due to rising state business costs. The Southern California-based home of the fish taco closed 48 locations as of Friday due to the rising costs of business in the state, Rubio's told ABC10 in a statement Saturday.

"Making the decision to close a store is never an easy one," the statement said. "Rubio's Coastal Grill...after a thorough review of its operations and the current business climate, has decided to close 48 underperforming locations in California as of May 31, while keeping 86 stores in California, Arizona and Nevada open."

In-N-Out restaurant has increased prices  but not the prices are not the same.

For example, a double-double meal at the In-N-Out in San Francisco is the most expensive in the Bay Area, at $13.63. The same meal in Alameda costs just under $12. Diners pay slightly less at the San Jose or Pittsburgh locations.

    CDD pretending again

Yeah, what a shock, if you raise wages or other expenditures, prices go up. To be fair, lowering wages and other expenditures won't be a guarntee that prices would go down. Business and especially corporations are greedy at their core. You can argue that that's why they're successful (insert Gordon Gekko speech here).

The burger wars have begun.  $5 deal at Wendy's  is now battling the BK  $5 deal and last to the counter is the McD  $5 deal next week.  In N Out increase the cheese burger meal prices to $8.65.

  21. My 3 burgers, 3 fries, and 2 drinks rang up $26. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

  22. Lol no G-man. It was for the three of us.
    2 double patty and 1 single-patty burgers.

Jay, In-n-Out fries are nice as long as you have them fresh. I don't remember the last time I did takeout or drive-in. I prefer to eat in.

  23. I'm not a cheese (in food. love cheese plates) fan so i always skip the cheese. The rest of the fam flip-flops between cheeseburger and hamburger.

  24. The franchisee operating the 55-year-old Arby's on Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard has closed it down mostly due to the minimum.  Also the pandemic was also a factor.  Way to go Newsom.

I think Sunnyvale is the only one here in the area, but I think there's one in Modesto and Stockton.
In and out fries are good. Five minutes after they're fine. Come after that. They are like packing material.
I guess that's why a lot of people drowned it in animal style sauce, which is good just really messy
Did you know that you can get free banana peppers from in and out and supposedly when it's raining, you can get a cup of hot chocolate

  25. G.C. and Chefs is correct.  I went to that location a few months ago and after the $20+ minimum wage.  Cost of  12+ for a Beef and Cheese which of my favorites burger.

In-N-Out is great but prepare for a long wait.  Avoid during lunch or dinner hours.  And all the weekends.

I tried that a couple times, and it was like chalk stick, a different kind of bad.

Good fries need the 2X cooking method to have any chance of being good.
    Onion rings would be great,
but they know what they are doing, it works for them.

Exactly. There's no way around it. That being said, I'll still get the fries. Bad fries are still kinda good.

Amazing: Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday signed bills cutting the individual and corporate tax rates while raising the homestead property tax credit, according to the Associated Press.

Sanders has cut taxes three times since she took office in January 2023, and said her goal is to wipe away the state income tax altogether.

"We are moving in the right direction and we're doing so responsibly," Sanders said.

Fries need to be slow cooked then 2nd cooked at a higher temp to make them crisp.  McD has perfected this process but they also freeze them for shipping and storage.

If we get just half of Project 2025 that will be a miracle & blessing for America. Tim sold it wrong. Lower taxes, pro small business & pro civility. That's the reality. Also it's a proposal by a 3rd party not part of Trumps actual campaign. Tim once again made an honest mistake as usual. Silly Timmy.

When Trump wins in Nov every business in blue cities will board up brace for riots, looting, fires & mass chaos because of alt left fascism. Bikers dressed in black block with anti American flags are foaming at the mouth for the fall of America & death to its people. It's disgusting. See links below for proof.

My PG&G power rates are  17 c / Kw   but the delivery cost of 43 c / Kw seem to cause the high price.   I  think it was 29 c / Kw last year to deliver.

  26. Yes the power rates doubled (or more) since around last fall.

This is what happens when you let a monopoly (PG&E) go unchecked.

Money to take care of infrastructure were used for mega bonuses to executives and major shareholders.

Now we're left picking up the bill for the destructions caused, and cost of accessing potential destruction in the future.

It's not just Pg&e that doubled in price. Everything in America cost more now including mortgage rates. Who are you going to blame for that? 7-11? Feds set the rates.

Too bad he set gas at record levels & caused inflation to skyrocket. Groceries from $100 to $400 in just 2 years.

Blm now rejects kuntmala after she installed herself & removing democracy.

PG&E is profiting on the cost increases.
The Pacific Gas and Electric Company saw over $500 million in profits in the last three months. But the increase in profits has also left customers paying a higher bill.  Before seeing a price hike, Mark Toney, the executive director of Turn, said his bill went up to by $400.

PG&E said the price hikes were necessary to pay for wildfire safety improvements and to offset the rise in business costs.  However, quarterly figures from the company show its profits rose 28%, or $520 million.

Market Krash Kuntmala. Stock Market Takes Huge Nosedive as Incredibly Accurate Recession Warning Sign Is Triggered. Following Monday's opening, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 1,000 points, while the Nasdaq and S&P 500 also fell by 3.9 percent and 3.2 percent respectively, on recession fears, Fox Business reported.

An economic rule that has predicted every U.S. recession since 1970 was triggered last week with the disappointing July jobs report.

The tech stock heavy Nasdaq also fell over 1,000 points for the first time since its inception in 1971.
