أعلنت شركة مياه وكهرباء الإمارات اليوم عن تمديد اتفاقية الشراكة في مجال الطاقة النظيفة مع ميديكلينيك الشرق الأوسط، إحدى أكبر الجهات الطبية الرائدة في الدولة. وبموجب هذه الاتفاقية، ستقوم شركة مياه وكهرباء الإمارات بتشغيل كافة المرافق الصحية التابعة لمجموعة ميديكلينيك أبوظبي، بما في ذلك المستشفيات العالمية المستوى، ومراكز الرعاية الشاملة، من خلال مصادر الطاقة النظيفة على مدار الساعة، وإصدار شهادات الطاقة النظيفة التي توثق أن الكهرباء التي تستهلكها مرافق ميديكلينيك قد تم إنتاجها باستخدام مصادر الطاقة النظيفة. قال عثمان جمعة آل علي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة مياه وكهرباء الإمارات: "تفتخر شركة مياه وكهرباء الإمارات بتعزيز أواصر التعاون مع ميديكلينيك الشرق الأوسط، أول مجموعة رعاية صحية تستخدم الطاقة النظيفة في إمارة أبوظبي، للقيام بدورمشترك في الالتزام بتحقيق متطلبات الاستدامة. يستهلك قطاع الرعاية الصحية على الصعيد العالمي حوالي 5-8% من إجمالي استهلاك الكهرباء، وتؤكد هذه الاتفاقية على أهمية اتخاذ إجراءات ملموسة لإزالة الكربون من هذا القطاع الحيوي. إن تشغيل كافة مرافق ميديكلينيك أبوظبي بالكامل من خلال الطاقة النظيفة، إشارة واضحة على أننا نقطع شوطا في جعل قطاع الرعاية الصحية ضمن القطاعات الرائدة في التركيز على المجتمع وحماية البيئة". للمزيد: https://lnkd.in/deNi3KeQ #الطاقة النظيفة #الاستدامة #عام_الاستدامة

EWEC today announced the extension of a clean energy partnership agreement with Mediclinic Middle East, a leading private healthcare provider based in the UAE.   Under the agreement, EWEC will provide all of Mediclinic’s advanced facilities in Abu Dhabi, including its international standard hospitals and comprehensive primary care clinics, with electricity generated using clean energy sources twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. This will be verified using Clean Energy Certificates (CECs), which guarantee that electricity consumed by an entity has been produced using clean energy sources.   Othman Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of EWEC, said: “EWEC is proud to strengthen and continue our partnership with Mediclinic Middle East, the first healthcare group to utilise clean energy in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, showcasing our mutual commitment to sustainability. Globally, the healthcare sector accounts for between five to eight per cent of electricity consumption, and this agreement underscores the importance of taking tangible steps to decarbonise this key sector.
