Outis (Limbus Company)

Overview

Outis is a character from the South Korean turn-based RPG game Limbus Company. She is a brunette woman known for her hardened military skills and her condescending attitude toward everyone but her supervisor Dante. Outis is sometimes called "Grandma" by the Limbus Company fan community and often features in thirsty memes that often refer to her as a "hag," as well as fan art depictions.

Background

In _Limbus Company, released on February 26th, 2023, Outis is a veteran of the Smoke War who now works under Dante. She is depicted as a tan character of average height and build, with short brown hair and yellow eyes. She wears a black leather jacket and a red tie and carries a sword on her hip.

Outis is known for her strict and commanding personality, and she strongly adheres to the chain of command. She is shown to be more level-headed than other Sinners in Limbus Company, and she is often shown to have a subservient relationship toward Dante. Outis's file shows that she has a cunning personality and a mysterious past that alludes to treachery (seen below).^[1]

Since her debut in the video game, Outis has been the subject of much discussion, fan art and memes online. On March 8th, 2024, X^[4] user @LookAtMyMeat1 posted a meme about Outis, joking about her being old, and gathering over 24,000 likes in three months (seen below, left).

On March 10th, X^[5] user @ZeroT_H posted an edited 4chan screenshot where someone jokes about being aroused by the word "hag" because of Outis Hag-posting. The post gathered over 1,000 likes in three months (seen below, right).

Fanart featuring Outis began to gain traction in a major way on X / Twitter in 2024, as seen in artwork posted by X^[2][3] users @k3nnyn3v and @Kekel0212 on May 19th and May 29th. The posts gathered over 30,000 and 26,000 likes, respectively, in one month (seen below).
