A USA Today Bestseller!

As seen on Tucker Carlson
As heard onMark Levin

In this follow-up to the breakout bestseller In Trump Time, Peter Navarro explains why Trump lost the White House in 2020 and how he will win it back in 2024—and none too soon.

Steve Bannon, the chief architect of Trump’s 2016 win, describes
Taking Back Trump’s America as “a brass-knuckled insider’s account of the merciless 2020 fall and miraculous 2024 rise of the White House of Trump.”

In Peter Navarro’s telling—he was in all of the rooms where it happened—Trump’s fall may be laid squarely at the feet of a coterie of incompetent and disloyal “bad personnel” inside the White House. They continually sought to undermine the commander in chief they putatively served and included everyone from Attorney General Bill Barr, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, and National Economic Council Directors Gary Cohn and Larry Kudlow, to National Security Advisors H.R. McMaster and John “Dr. Strangelove” Bolton, Jared “Rasputin” Kushner, the Four-Star Traitors in Generals John Kelly and Jim Mattis, and four of the worst chiefs of staff in White House history.

This confederacy of predatory globalists, Never-Trump Republicans, wild-eyed Freedom Caucus nut jobs, and self-absorbed Wall Street transactionalists would constantly delay, disrupt, and deter a set of populist, economic, nationalist, and “tough on China” actions and policies that would have otherwise carried Donald Trump to a landslide victory.

Interesting Read into the Trump Administration
While many don't agree with the MAGA conservative movement and the players who were/are involved, this book does give insight into Peters unique view and insight to not only a Whitehouse administration, it gives an inside look of what it takes to run and be part of our government in Washington DC. It kept my interest throughout and make for a good read.

I love to read Peter Navarro. He is a very talented writer who is clear and concise in his telling of any story. This book is not a Pro-Trump book. It shows that President Trump, for all his courage and leadership was overwhelmed by those who smiled to his face and stabbed him in the back. One very clear message to the American public is that the Presidency does not consist of ONE PERSON but a group of advisors and bureaucrats that do not necessarily (and in Trump's case - refused) to follow orders or be supportive of his agenda. Peter names names but I don't think it is out of revenge for how shoddily he was treated but rather out of frustration and righteous anger that he witnesses how those around the president were not on his side and fought against the MAGA agenda. It is amazing President Trump accomplished all he did in spite of the lack of support and loyalty he had to deal with.

Real inside baseball stuff!! I never realised just how much Trump had to fight his own people. I really hope President Trump will read this books and give its recommendations serious consideration. My one takeaway was the surprise that the star of The Apprentice was such a bad judge of character in selecting his personnel.

Author Peter Navarro is obviously eloquent and knowledgeable, though he chooses to write in the style of his favorite newspaper, the New York Post, which he clearly prefers to "its highfalutin cousin," the Wall Street Journal, as he points out.

He is a no-nonsense ultra-MAGAn with no room for compromise. The USA Today is "leftwing" and the Journal is a "RINO" newspaper, according to him.

It's an interesting book insofar as he is 100% pro-Trump, yet doesn't point to voting machines and boxes pulled from under tables as to why Joe Biden is now president, but bases it largely on five factors: 1) Not tough enough on China; 2) too much globalism instead of "populist economic nationalism"; 3) Poorly run 2020 campaign; 4) Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and Chief of Staff Mark Meadows; and 5) the communication team's inability to fight back against the vast Never-Trumper media.

The book is important insofar as it makes these points, but falls short of five stars (barely makes four) because Navarro blames Trump for NOTHING. The tweets, the erratic messages regarding the pandemic, the first debate vs. Biden, none of it.

Most Americans don't care nearly as much about trade imbalance as Navarro does. I think his view of what's important to voters is a tad skewed.

What's also unfortunate is that he seems to lump anyone who's not all in for Trump in one big category. It's unclear whether Navarro has any higher regard for, say, Lindsey Graham than for Nancy Pelosi.

Not a bad book to reflect on the Trump presidency, but I've read - and reviewed - better.

It is clear that Trump made many bad personnel decisions in staffing his administration. It is also clear that Dr Navaro and Steve Banon were not allowed to help rectify these because Trump for whatever reason did not realize the mistakes he made or brlieved he by being the boss could get it his way. He was wrong, backstabbed and ignored and was not in the loop, fed information they wanted him to see. Trump needed to swallow his pride, admit mistakes and vow to only put people in any next Administration, should he run that are loyale to his agenda. One would think this was obvious, but maybe not in Trumps world. He wont get a 2nd chance unless he really tells the American people what his objectives are and who he will bring to the table to carry it out.

For anyone who really wants to know the unbelievable level of opposition Donald Trump had to contend with as President even from those he should have been able to trust.
