About

Hello! My name is Andy Nguyen and I’m the host of this site. I’m a former sales associate living in Houston, TX. I’ve been watching this show w/ my grandma since I was age 2 and learned to spell Pat’s name. Every day, I will be giving you daily recaps of America’s Game. I will be using help from sources such as gameshownewsnet.com, various people on BAV boards and Game Show Kingdom (hosted by Bobby McBride; I’m a fan of his site). I will also be providing statistics on how a season went. I may also provide recaps form past seasons.

Back in September 2010, the Wheelmobile came to my previous location of Chicago and I decided to apply to be a contestant. Well, NO LUCK whatsoever. Fast forward to June 2017 in Houston, TX at Memorial City Mall. This time, I got lucky! I was called in the final game of the day on June 10. Even though I didn’t solve the puzzle, I still got a couple nice prizes including a travel mug, and a T shirt! My second audition was held on June 29 at the hotel near the mall. After a three week wait, I got my letter and I was finally accepted to be on the show!

My first call to go to a taping was back in September 2017. It was for “Show You the World”, but I couldn’t go, because my family was committed to vacation. In the February of the next year, I got another call to go to a taping, and this time I accepted it. I had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people on my taping day of February 22nd. Now, I was hoping to be one of the early episodes for “California Coast” week, but I was actually playing on the sixth and final taping of the day. Talk about a long wait! I was a little nervous in the beginning during filming, but I handled it just fine. I became the big winner of my episode w/ a total of $22,600 cash & trip to Bahamas! I could’ve added a new Camaro in the BR if I had solved my final puzzle of WRAPAROUND PORCH (that first word is NOT used very often and not an easy one), but at least I won’t have to pay a lot of taxes.

Anyway, this has been a whirlwind experience. It was so awesome meeting Pat and Vanna as well as Jim the announcer. I hope to keep this site strong for many years to come!

Similar question as above, do you or anybody who has found there way to this incredible page happen to have any past episodes? I am specifically looking for Episode 6146 from the Fun & Fit week with an Air Date of February 2, 2015. An links to videos would be much appreciated or if you have something more concrete (tape/dvd/etc.) that would be awesome as well. Willing to $$?

    Hi Andy

As former contestants my wife and I often discuss details of the episodes we watch. Lately, we have noticed there have been several puzzles that seem to be repeats.

Is there a way that this can be verified. For example the fragrant bouquet’ from this week (March 4, 2019) was one. Another could ‘hobby shop’ also this week maybe without the adjective ‘cool’.
Regards, and up the good work,
    Helen and Paul g.

Hi Helen and Paul, welcome to my site! When did you last air?

Type the keywords “bouquet” and “hobby shop” in the search engine and you’ll find out when they were last used.

Hi Sharon, good to hear from you! You can email a guy who has tons of videos from the past. His name is Rashad Franklin and his email is rashad1428@yahoo.com. I’m sure he’ll be happy to oblige.

Also, I have a text recap of your show. Type in your airdate in the search engine (May 9, 2013) and it should appear in the results. Don’t add th, or else the result won’t appear. Do tell us about your experience! 🙂

Which date are you referring to? I only have recaps for October 2 and 29 from that year.

Tom, because this show is a syndicated program, I don’t think you’ll find a streaming service or site that allows you to watch classic episodes. Sorry.

I know this comment is over 3 years old but you can watch re-runs on Pluto TV app! It’s free with ads.

Hi Andy! My air date was May 24, 2005 and I had such a great experience! I went to the bonus round but wasn’t able to solve the final puzzle. Whenever I’m feeling down, I just remember the time I won TiVo for life! Haha!

Just stumbled across your site. I was on episode 3301 on May 15, 2000. Just passed my 20th year anniversary of the show air date. Maybe sometime you can review that episode.

Andy, I was wondering if you could help me find an episode? Within the last year or two, I watched an episode of Wheel of Fortune during the holiday season, and the set was decorated with a large wood cabin with snow all over the roof and Christmas lights (I think). Do you happen to know when this episode aired?

    Hello Andy,

I was wondering if you can help me find an episode. It’s a bit of a big ask because I am not sure when the episode came out. If you can’t find it, I thank you regardless.

Anyway, I think the episode came out between 2007 and 2009. There is contestant named Dennis who asks for the letter “T” multiple times. Dennis is my cousin and I want to remind him that this video exists so if you can find it, you will help me keep his 15 minutes of fame alive.

Hi Andy, I just saw a clip of the recent celebrity WOF and for old times sake, I googled my name and WOF – and found your 2019 review of my episode from way back in 1998 (wow, makes me feel old!!). How funny that you reviewed it so many years later! 😂 Any how, it was fun to read your review and remind of my 15 minutes of fame, all the best to you.
