Help, my site is down!

What to do if your WordPress site is down, depending on whether it is hosted on WordPress.com or self-hosted.

WordPress.com sites

If you can’t load your WordPress.com website in a web browser, reach out to our support team. They can help diagnose and resolve issues related to WordPress.com sites. You can contact us here.

Self-hosted sites

If you can’t access your self-hosted site in a web browser, you can try the next:

  1. Contact your hosting provider: Your hosting provider can investigate why your site isn’t working and help you get it back up and running. The Jetpack app requires WordPress to be installed and working on your site, so the app support team can’t fix this issue.
  2. Check common WordPress errors: Visit the Common WordPress Errors page on WordPress.org for common problems and their resolutions.
  3. Search support forums: Post a question and search for answers in the WordPress.org support forums.

Once your site is working again, you can try to connect to it and manage it within the Jetpack app.
