A voice, a sounding board and a bloody good read It was a proud moment for the team at triSearch last September when we launched Edition 1 of the monthly Australian Conveyancer Magazine - "Tech that will change the game". Its mission was simple "to offer time-poor but dedicated practitioners some clarity in an uncertain environment". Kicking off this journey involved commissioning a team of strong, independent journalists and editors to scratch beneath the surface of an industry undergoing significant transformation. As I look back on the 12 months since, I reflect on the insightful reports on cyber security; the future of housing; how climate will impact properties over the next 30 years; the influence of AI; professional burn-out; and money laundering in the property market. The Australian Conveyancer has also "given back" by honouring many of the women who power the Australian Property Industry as well as the innovators who influence it. The Australian Conveyancer has been a voice, a platform for discussion, and a sounding board. The feedback from business leaders I talk to has been amazing. At triSearch we believe the best way to predict the future is to create it together. So, as we notch up the first birthday, I am proud to announce that The Australian Conveyancer now has its own website for desktop, tablet and mobile and will be updated daily. Thank you to the ATI Global family of companies for their encouragement, support and commitment to continue the journey of The Australian Conveyancer. It is free to subscribe. Day Two of last week's #DevelopmentDay was all about personal and professional growth for the triSearch team. We spent the day in a workshop facilitated by John Colbert & Corporate Edge, focusing on strengthening our culture and connecting through our shared values. The workshop was a fantastic opportunity to see where we stand with our culture and ensure alignment across all teams. We explored how to develop a growth mindset and navigate change effectively, ensuring we stay connected and deliver the best service possible for our customers. Our Head of Sales, Lauren Cunningham, shared her highlights: “John Colbert really managed to engage our whole team and solidify our company values, priorities, and values across the team. I look forward to taking my learnings into my day-to-day operations within the business to ensure we help customers with their business.” We’re excited for the team’s development, and continuing to grow together! #DevelopmentDay #GrowthMindset #Teamwork

Last week the triSearch team had our inaugural #DevelopmentDay. Spanning over two days, the event was all about connecting with each other, refreshing, resetting and cleansing for the new financial year. We were fortunate enough to have the entire triSearch team together in the Sydney office. On day one, we got to hear from project leaders around the business on the exciting innovations and projects in the works. We also had the privilege of witnessing a special event tied to the themes of refreshing and cleansing. First Nations representative Leslie Mcleod lead us in a Smoking Ceremony, connecting us to our roots and each other, to celebrate and cleanse our spirits for the new year ahead. Our own Hayley Roughley, Product & Customer enablement specialist, left grateful for the experience: "Being part of an Aboriginal Smoking Ceremony was really moving. The smoke, the rituals, and the connection to the land left me feeling peaceful and deeply respectful of Indigenous culture.” We wrapped up the day with a lively event at the Arthouse for our team and clients, where we had the opportunity to unwind and connect with each other. A big thank you for our clients for joining us, and a special thank you to Matt Hanson for sharing his inspiring story. It was a day of reflections and celebrations. Stay tuned for more about day two of Development Day. #PeopleAndCulture #Leadership #SmokingCeremony #Community

Many thanks to Tim McKibbin, Real Estate Institute of NSW chief executive, for sharing his thoughts on planned Tranche 2 reforms in the latest Australian Conveyancer. Lessons from the introduction of anti-money laundering reforms to the real estate sector in New Zealand suggest Australia property professionals face significant extra costs when they are introduced here, according to Tim. Find out more from our special report into the problem that saw more than $740million worth of real estate seized by federal authorities over a five-year period. https://bit.ly/3y9I7sA
