The TENplay Windows Phone app was created by our digital team at Network Ten and the team from Xamling.

The launch of TENplay on Windows Phone marks the 4th Microsoft platform that TENplay is available on, including Windows 8.1 desktop and tablets, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

The app allows users to access TEN, ELEVEN and ONE shows on-demand, straight after they have appeared on television, as well as real-time viewing, with live streaming of news and sporting events.

The app allows users to access TEN, ELEVEN and ONE shows on-demand, straight after they have appeared on television, as well as real-time viewing, with live streaming of news and sporting events.

Viewers can also create personalised playlists, lining up their television picks to watch whenever they want; pin favourite shows and genres to their phone dashboard for easy access; set up alerts and reminders for when their shows air; and access a complete television guide with full listings.

In an industry first and six months in the making, Network Ten, with content replacement technology provider Yospace delivered interactive, personalised ad content for its live simulcast output of the 2014 Sochi Games and other live streaming offerings.

This solution required integration work across broadcast, digital and advertising. Not only does the solution insert digital ads to the broadcast streams it also prevents the broadcast ads being delivered online - reducing the need for manual intervention.

The solution uniquely harmonises technical elements from both the broadcast and digital domains for Network Ten to deliver a true broadcast experience with seamless and frame accurate replacement of the broadcast advertising. Now, Network Ten can apply its interactive digital ad inventory to ad breaks during the Sochi Games live coverage across a wide range of connected devices. The ability to perform targeted interactive ad-replacement is delivering a level of personalisation and interactivity to its advertising partners never previously seen on live simulcast.

The ability to execute targeted interactive ad replacement gives advertisers a level of personalisation and interactivity not previously seen in live online simulcasts. Ads are managed through DoubleClick, integrated with the Yospace system, to determine which ads are shown to each user/platform.
