In recent years, Vantaa has seen remarkable growth, becoming a vibrant melting pot of cultures. As the city’s population continues to diversify, with Russian, Estonian, and Arabic among the most spoken foreign languages, the need for effective integration strategies has never been more critical. The European Heritage Hub organises its second peer-learning visit in #Nantes 🇫🇷 from 6 to 8 November 2024, in partnership with Nantes Métropole. The main focus for the visit will be the exemplary digital portal Nantes Cultural Heritage 2.0, where citizens can access and share information about the city’s #CulturalHeritage. The project provides digital tours, articles and interactive cartography showcasing urban history, daily life, architecture, historical events, and the latest news. Participants will also explore municipal cultural heritage policies, urban renewal projects related to the city’s industrial heritage, as well initiatives related to remembrance and inclusive storytelling.
