On the same evening Beyoncé was in Philadelphia, thrilling a crowd of fans at Lincoln Financial Field, Billy Penn took over the petite taproom and patio at Punch Buggy Brewing Co. on North American Street for a few thrills of our own.
Some players at our monthly BP Quizzo night joked they were only there because they couldn’t get tickets to see Queen Bey, which, hey, we understand.
As people divided into 10 teams and began answering questions about Philly news and history, things got plenty exciting. After three rounds of local trivia, team “Left Our Beyonce Tickets in the Philly Phlush” won our Best Team Name prize of Punch Buggy branded beer glasses.
For the $50 gift card being awarded for Top Score, we ended up with a tie! Teams “It’s All About the Bread” and “Fore! Seasons Total Landscaping” were locked at 19 points each, and had to battle it out in a pop-up tie-breaker.
