    One week after Florida Panthers became Stanley Cup winners for the first time in franchise history, the 2024-25 NHL offseason is in full swing.

    All 32 teams, including the reigning champions and the league's newest club in Salt Lake City, are making moves to prepare for the 2024-25 season.

    Trades have already been underway, and free-agency signings began July 1. Check back here for all the latest news.

Rangers Re-sign Chad Ruhwedel, Extend Braden Schneider

    The Rangers re-signed veteran defenseman Chad Ruhwedel to a one-year contract, according to ESPN.

    The team also signed defenseman Braden Schneider to a two-year, $44 million contract extension, per ESPN.
