The All-Star rosters are set.
Following this week's announcement of the starting rosters, as voted on by the fans, the reserves and pitching staffs were announced on Sunday. Those spots were comprised using both the players' ballot and selections from the commissioner's office.
As Jorge Castillo of ESPN noted, there were 32 players named to their first All-Star team.
Below, we'll break down the full rosters and go over a few of the players who were snubbed for this year's edition of the Midsummer Classic.

Snubs
In the American League, the AL-East leading Orioles probably have a few gripes.
Anthony Santander was probably the most surprising omission on either roster Sunday. He's hitting .233 with 22 homers, 56 RBI, 46 runs and a .794 OPS this season.
Craig Kimbrel is second in the American League with 22 saves, trailing only Clase (26). He also made a strong case to be included by either the commissioner's office or player's vote, though it's possible he was squeezed out by the requirement that every team in baseball have at least one selection.
Ryan Ripken @ryanripkenI wanted All Star spot for guys like Santander, Westy, Mounty, etc. But that's how it goes.

Devers and Naylor rightfully deserve spots at 3B & 1B. Crowded OF room of great players too.

The one to me that should have been in on eye test and numbers was Craig Kimbrel.
Finally, Oakland's Brent Rooker (.277 with 18 homers, 54 RBI, 34 runs and a .891 OPS) was a deserving potential reserve but didn't make the cut this season.
Over in the National League, the Phillies can't really complain after having three starters (Bryce Harper, Trea Turner and Alec Bohm) and four pitchers named to the All-Star Game. But both Aaron Nola (10-4 with a 3.48 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 107 strikeouts) and Christopher Sánchez (6-4 with a 2.96 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 82 strikeouts) have put together All-Star seasons this year.
There was always going to be a roster crunch, however, and with plenty of Phillies represented, Nola and Sánchez didn't make the cut.
At second base, most advanced stats would suggest that Brice Turang should have been the selection over Arráez.
Granted, Arráez leads the National League with 118 hits. You be the judge:
- Arráez: .315 with two homers, 23 RBI, 50 runs, three stolen bases, a .732 OPS and a 0.8 WAR.
- Turang: .288 with six homers, 38 RBI, 43 runs, 28 stolen bases, a .757 OPS and 3.9 WAR.
It's a close call, but Turang is having the better season by most measures.
