• Team Chevrolet Las Vegas has appointed Brad Cambridge as its new general manager. With 36 years of experience in the automobile industry, Cambridge brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role.
Cambridge is originally from Detroit, relocating to Las Vegas in 1981. His journey in the automobile industry began by washing cars for $3.50 an hour at a local dealership. Through dedication and hard work, he steadily climbed the ranks, earning the position of general manager last month.
In his new role, Cambridge is committed to improving the internal culture, supporting the community and elevating the guest experience at Team Chevrolet Las Vegas. His extensive background spans sales management, business development, finance, marketing strategy, employee engagement and customer loyalty.
“Team and community are very important to me, and I hope to continue to improve the company culture as well as the customer experience,” Cambridge said. “I am also looking forward to introducing new initiatives that will enhance our service offerings and strengthen our ties with the local community.”
Prior to joining Team Chevrolet Las Vegas, Cambridge had a long and successful career at Gaudin Automotive Group, a highly awarded, family-owned dealership serving the Las Vegas and Henderson areas. His transition to Team Chevrolet Las Vegas marks a new chapter where he aims to leverage his industry knowledge to drive innovation within the dealership.
“Having been in the industry for so long, I’ve not only honed my customer service skills but also developed strong leadership abilities, which I believe will benefit the team,” Cambridge said. “This is going to be a journey that I am excited to take at one of the top-rated dealerships in Las Vegas.”
Team Chevrolet joined the Team Automotive Group in December 2021, alongside Team Ford and Team Lincoln. These dealerships are all located in northwest Las Vegas on Drexel Road off U.S. 95 and Ann Road.
EDUCATION
Roseman University of Health Sciences announced the appointment of Geena Mattox as the new vice president for philanthropy and alumni relations. Mattox brings an extensive background in securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships and successful capital campaigns.
“We are thrilled to welcome Geena Mattox to Roseman University,” said Dr. Renee Coffman, president of Roseman University. “Her proven track record in cultivating and stewarding donor relationships, managing large teams and overseeing comprehensive financial responsibilities, coupled with her strategic vision and leadership abilities, will be instrumental in advancing our mission and strengthening our engagement with alumni and donors.”
In her most recent role as senior director of foundations and grants at Best Buddies International, Mattox spearheaded revenue growth and the development of a national strategy to secure major national and international foundation funding. She streamlined the grant application process and implemented accountability systems to ensure effective stewardship and compliance across multiple offices.
Prior to her tenure at Best Buddies International, Mattox served as state director for Best Buddies in Las Vegas, where she drove revenue growth and strategic leadership across state operations. Her efforts in team building, event development and corporate revenue generation resulted in significant financial successes for the organization.
Mattox’s experience also includes her role as director of business development at Style Event Design, where she successfully managed quarterly sales goals and built long-term relationships with corporate clients. Additionally, she has served as director of development for the American Heart Association in Las Vegas and as chief operating officer for Opportunity Village.
HUMAN RESOURCES
The Nevada Association of Employers (NAE) announced Loretta Prentice, PHR, human resources director of Cashell Enterprises, Inc., as the 2024 HR Professional of the Year. This award was presented on June 21 at the Nevada Employers Conference, which drew about 200 attendees.
NAE invites members and attendees annually to nominate outstanding HR professionals. “We’ve been hosting this conference for seven years now and it is always the highlight of every year to be able to honor the exemplary HR leaders we have here in Nevada,” says Thoran Towler, CEO of Nevada Association of Employers.
Prentice was nominated by HR Manager Courtney Starks, her successor, who will take over upon Prentice’s retirement at the end of the year.
Since starting in 2006, Prentice built the HR department from the ground up and has ensured excellence and safety for all employees over the past 17 years. “She oversees the entire scope of HR, from onboarding to safety. Anyone that meets her can see that she embodies human resources,” Starks said.
Prentice has created all company safety manuals, employee handbooks and HR policies. Starks added, “She is an example of patience, class, empathy, tolerance and consistency. She deserves this recognition as a leader in excellence.”
Prentice will retire at the end of the year, and is looking forward to gardening and spending time with her husband.
NAE also congratulates the other nominees: Megan Enyeart of CRBR, Silvia Garcia-Tinoco of Hamilton Co., Heather Sawyer of American International Tooling and Sheila Van Deusen from North Sails.

LAW
• Messner Reeves LLP is a full-service business law firm. It announced its newest partner in the Las Vegas office, Steven G. Knauss. His promotion to partner is a reflection of years of great service to the firm and to his clients.
Knauss is a member of the firm’s litigation and insurance defense practice groups. Through this work, he defends corporate clients in complex civil litigation that can include bad faith insurance claims and business disputes of all sizes. Knauss is known for providing high-level and successful legal representation for his clients that are involved in contentious situations.
He is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara and holds a degree in philosophy. He earned his J.D. from the University of Denver.

• The Nevada Mining Association (NVMA) announced the recipients of the 2024 Individual Safety Awards, recognizing outstanding commitment to safety in the mining industry. This year’s honorees will be celebrated at the Annual NVMA Convention in South Lake Tahoe in September. This annual event not only celebrates the achievements of these individuals, but also reinforces the importance of safety as a core value in the mining sector. Nevada is considered a world-wide leader in mining regulatory oversight and safety statistics.
The NVMA’s Individual Safety Awards program is a prestigious initiative that acknowledges employees who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to maintaining safety standards within their organizations. The call for nominations invited member companies to spotlight their exemplary personnel who uphold and advance the cause of safety. A total of 230 nominations were submitted and voted on by industry peers across 11 different categories.
“The safety of our workforce is paramount in the mining industry, and these awards provide a unique opportunity to honor those individuals who have shown a commitment to this critical aspect of our operations,” said NVMA President Amanda Hilton. “We are proud to recognize these safety champions and their contributions to fostering a secure working environment.”
In July, the NVMA will announce recipients of the Mine Operator Safety Awards, highlighting the mining companies that have demonstrated unparalleled dedication to providing safe workplaces for their employees. Those recipients are based on data provided by the U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
