Exploring AI cold calling for your business?
Running a BD & Lead Gen business has forced us to take a serious look at this topic, and here's what we've learnt:
Pros:
1. Cost Effectiveness - AI Tokens will always be more cost effective than hiring someone to do a particular job.
2. Scalability - AI never rests or takes breaks.
3. Data Driven Insights - EVERYTHING gets logged, and transcribed so you can tailor the approach.
Cons:
1. The Human Touch - The most important part of business is missing with AI cold calling.
2. Integration & Implementation - The effectiveness of AI voice is contingent upon a well-structured sales funnel, if you already lack that, this will be no magic bullet.
3. Ethical and Privacy Concerns - Data Security, Consent, and Privacy are becoming more and more important in todays landscape - AI phone calling much of the time can be a direct afront to these topics.
2 Weeks ago I had an AI cold call me (I knew because we were exploring the same vendor), and upon questioning the the AI agent if it was in fact an "AI" it blatantly lied to me and said no. Alarming to say the least.
I don't think AI cold calling is ready yet, and I don't like taking the human touch out of business so the practice makes me uncomfortable.
