It took me a while to digest the magnitude of my latest achievement, which is why I have waited until now to share. But prior to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, USA Basketball travelled to London for two warm-up games, against South Sudan and Germany, while the women's team also came across the pond to play Germany. I was fortunate enough to have been granted access to cover their practices & games, where I was able to stand in front of my basketball heroes, and the reason I love the sport so much, to hear about their expectations for the Olympics - they each went on to win gold medals. It was an incredible - and humbling - experience to represent GiveMeSport on the occasion, and speak to, and meet, the likes of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and the rest of the squad in a work capacity, while at the end of the showcase, I was able to watch Sabrina Ionescu, A'ja Wilson, and Diana Taurasi from courtside as a fan, which cemented my experience even further (and photographed by my the amazing Edward Medcalf!) It was a dream come true and more in what is the veterans' last dance together, and growing up in the era of LeBron James and everybody else, it really was a pinch me moment. I am so proud of not just the experience, but also the work I produced from it. There has never been a better time to get involved with basketball - the game is growing exponentially. Magical, magical time which I still don't believe has fully sunk in yet.✨💫
