Clover Hill is one of Australia’s principal Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier Cuvées. Founded by the Goelet family on the site of a former dairy farm in north-east Tasmania, Clover Hill was established in 1986 after an exhaustive search for an ideal site for the sole purpose of producing world-class sparkling wine to rival that of the Champagne region

Clover Hill is one of Australia’s very few premium sparkling houses solely producing sparkling wines in the traditional method. We have adopted an anchoring multi-vintage philosophy: a single-minded dedication to crafting wines of perennial consistency and complexity.

At our home in Lebrina, Tasmania, we are delivering the best sparkling wine experience possible. Our house style embodies freshness, character, and vibrancy. Our wines, year-on-year, live up to the potential of the land, and to the expectations of those seeking unparalleled enjoyment.

We enjoyed a few laughs with comedian @joshthomas87 earlier this winter, when he visited Clover Hill to film @tasmania's “Odd Jobs” campaign.

We put Josh to work in the vineyard and afterwards treated him to a masterclass. 
His favourite? Our MV Rosé. We think he enjoyed his bubbles a lot more than he did pruning the vines, which was harder than he imagined.

Vine pruning during winter is an important job. But it’s also tranquil, rewarding and beautiful, according to Josh. You can experience it too, with our Vine Pruning Masterclass (one of our cellar door experiences available for purchase on our website).

“It dances,” commented Clover Hill club member, Gemma, at her private cellar door masterclass with our GM and sommelier, Ian White last week. 

Ian presented all eight wines in the Clover Hill sparkling range, starting with our MV Exceptionnelle and MV Rosé, through to our prestige late disgorged. 

While Gemma preferred the Vintage Riche for its creamy and moreish characters, her friends opted for the MV Exceptionelle. 

“It’s fresh, acidic and a bit zingy,” said Linda, “it’ll be lovely with the Tassie salmon I’m having tonight.”

Our masterclass tasting is one of the very few tasting experiences in Australia where you will exclusively taste methode traditionelle Tasmanian sparkling wines.
