I’m excited. I’ll be honest, it feels good not to be so cynical. I like being hopeful and feeling like the Church is uniting (other than the German bishops, of course.)
It’s pretty rare that I get to write pieces about Pope Francis that are hopeful and joyful. I’m taking my opportunity while I can.
I’ll say my morning rosary and then head to Mass. I don’t know if a parish near me is having people gather for the consecration or if I’ll watch it on EWTN.
I’ve seen this “Joy of the Faith” guy before being interviewed. He’s my mood today. Upbeat. Almost Ned Flanders-ish. I’m hopeful and prayerful today. I should be like this more.

This “consecration” is equivalent to the wiccans who say they will hex Russia. Its just the Roman Catholic version of a hex—Vatican attempt at witchcraft, invoking Hecate the Mother goddess of black magic under her other title “Lady of Fatima.” Its equally usless to what the Ukrainian witches say they’re planning.

Only someone completely ignorant of Christianity in general and of Catholicism in particular would equate praying to God and asking Jesus’ mother to intercede for us to hexes and witchcraft.
What we’ve done today isn’t magic. It’s an act of contrition, penance, and consecration, with a fervent plea that God will, through Our Lady’s powerful intercessory prayers, bring about the end of the war that Russia started in Ukraine, grant us peace on earth among men of good will, and bring about the conversion of Russia and of all the world to the Holy Faith revealed to us by Jesus Christ.

The prayer contains some Pachamamma titles, so you need to do some research. And praying to a specific apparition named after a place is different from praying to Mary.

Though I couldn’t make it to a church today, I did pray my Rosary and prayed the Act of Consecration at the same time as the rest of the Church.
I hope this will result in sincere and genuine contrition and conversion everywhere, especially in Russia, that we may at last see the things which Our Lady of Fatima prophesied come to pass.

Part of it is, “Queen of the Human Family, show people the path of fraternity.” This is new. How about those not in the Church? She’s Queen of them too? Are we all friends now? (ie Society of Friends)
“Now, O Mother, repeat those words and that prayer, for in our own day we have run out of the wine of hope, joy has fled, fraternity has faded.” How can fraternity be manifest without a foundation on Jesus? Without a rock, we sink when the rains come.
