August 6, 2024: DA Gascón Announces Charges Against Man in Sexual Assault of Two Boys in Los Angeles County, Seeks Additional Victims Contact:

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that Andrew Sandoval of the city of South Gate is charged with allegedly sexually abusing two boys between November 2015 and this year within Los Angeles County.

Sandoval is currently in custody and investigators are seeking additional victims because his work history includes employment by dozens of schools and child care settings in Los Angeles County.

“The abhorrent nature of these crimes against children and the defendant’s employment in schools and childcare settings is of tremendous concern, and we are asking for anyone who may have additional information to come forward,” District Attorney Gascón said. “We’re committed to seeking justice, and the courage to come forward can ensure justice for those who have been harmed.”

District Attorney Gascón Announces Charges Against Man in Murder of Two Brothers Near Exposition Park

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that a man has been charged with allegedly murdering two brothers outside their home near Exposition Park as they sat in their vehicle on June 1.

“We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the brothers’ loved ones who lost two members of their family to senseless gun violence,” District Attorney Gascón said. “These tragic deaths underscore the urgency of keeping guns out of the hands of the wrong individuals. Our office is dedicated to seeking justice for the victims and their loved ones.”

April 24, 2024: District Attorney Gascón Announces Charges Against Man Who Fatally Stabbed Woman on a Metro Train in North Hollywood

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that a man has been charged with fatally stabbing a 67-year-old woman who was riding a Metro train on April 22 in the North Hollywood area.

“This tragic and senseless act of violence on an innocent Metro passenger has shaken our community as thousands take the Metro daily as a form of transportation,” District Attorney Gascón said. “Our hearts go out to the victim’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. These acts of violence have no place in our society and our office will continue to work to ensure that justice is served to those who commit these egregious crimes.”

April 24, 2024: District Attorney Gascón Announces Charges Against Man Who Shot a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy in West Covina

 

Announcing Charges Against Man Who Shot West Covina Sheriff

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that a man has been charged with shooting on-duty Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Samuel Aispuro as he waited at a red light on his LASD-marked motorcycle on April 22 in the city of West Covina.

“The senseless and unprovoked shooting of Deputy Samuel Aispuro is a stark reminder of the dangers our law enforcement officers face daily,” District Attorney Gascón said. “Our office is committed to vigorously prosecuting the offender to the fullest extent of the law. Our thoughts are with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Deputy Aispuro as he recovers from this tragic incident.”

“We are extremely relieved and grateful that Deputy Aispuro has been discharged from the hospital and is now on the road to recovery,” said Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna. “The brazen actions of this career criminal have threatened public safety in our communities and underscores the urgent need to hold this coward fully accountable. Such incidents painfully remind us of the daily risks our deputies face when wearing the uniform and protecting our community.”

LOS ANGELES, CA- Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that a man has been charged with breaking into the official Getty House residence of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass by shattering a rear glass door.

“I’m profoundly relieved that Mayor Karen Bass and her family emerged unharmed in this recent home break-in. The safety and security of all residents, including public officials, remain paramount in our community,” District Attorney Gascón said. “While we’re grateful for their physical safety, this violent intrusion will not be tolerated. We’re fully committed to ensuring that the perpetrator is swiftly brought to justice and held accountable for his actions.”
