Search Child Care Prices by County

Use the search tool to find and compare child care prices in counties across the U.S. The data come from the U.S. Department of Labor Women's Bureau and are based on the median cost to send an infant (0-23 months) to either a day care center or a home-based provider full time. The child care prices are estimated for 2022 while the cost of child care as a percentage of the family median income are from 2018. The department released data for nearly 90% of counties in the U.S. Child care prices for infants were unavailable for most of Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii, Indiana, Missouri and New Mexico.
