Standardisation in engineering, especially in cooperation with customers, can still be a challenge today. Although it has been a well-known topic for some time now, its importance for industrial automation and its ecosystem has not diminished. 🏭 In our Eplan L!VE Spotlight Session - Standardisation from May 2024, we took the opportunity to look at the whole ecosystem of industrial automation. We focused in particular on what standardisation and collaboration means for the role of the engineers, machine builders and system suppliers, as well as the operator's point of view of digital maintenance and supplier guidelines. Standardisation means finding a way to make collaboration as easy as possible. Possible ways to achieve this were discussed in the Spotlight Session. Interested? ✨ Coming soon - Eplan Cable proD ✨ Precision is required when constructing machines – all the way through to the final steps: if the cables don’t have the correct lengths or have been incorrectly routed, it is not uncommon for entire commissioning processes to have to be postponed. This is why we have developed a complete software solution - available from September 2024 - for planning the corresponding machine cabling: Eplan Cable proD. This also makes it easy to order prefabricated cables. Time-consuming trimming and offcuts are now a thing of the past. Eplan Cable proD is our solution for quick and easy cabling of machines. The software digitises the corresponding designs and provides the information required for production and assembly. 👉 Find out more about Eplan Cable proD: https://hubs.li/Q02JHR1z0 #MoreToCome #Eplan #EfficientEngineering #Software #Cabling

In the day-to-day life of an operator, when the machines and production are running, there may be a situation where you need to access the plan documentation. Maybe to solve some problems when there is a breakdown or for some maintenance tasks. But it can be a problem if the documentation is missing or out of date. 📋 A gap between the service and the engineering team can slow down processes if there is no way to give feedback, to document or update changes made to the plans. Eplan has several possible solutions for this, which are presented in the Eplan L!VE Spotlight Session - Service & Maintenance. It shows the importance of standardisation, as well as how and why you should keep your documentation up to date. Our Eplan experts talk about ways to solve your daily challenges, wherever they may occur. Want to know more? Simply register in our media library and get access to the Spotlight session that took place in May 2024. 🎬 Also take a look at out other Spotlight topics: 🔊 Eplan Spotlight – Standardisation 🔊 Eplan Spotlight - Electric P8 🔊 Eplan Spotlight - Eplan Preplanning 🔊 Eplan Spotlight - Eplan Platform 2025 👉 Visit our media library now – the content is available for you on demand. Preplanning or basic engineering is one of the first parts of the engineering process. The idea is to capture information early on in the engineering process and be able to use that data downstream in the other engineering steps. To start your electrical engineering, you need to get your data. But instead of starting from scratch or entering data manually, we provide several ways to import information into Eplan Preplanning, such as external drawings or actuator/sensor/IO lists. Want to know more about this topic? 🤔 In our Eplan L!VE Spotlight Session, which we held in May 2024, we delved deeper into this topic. To watch the whole Spotlight - Eplan Preplanning, simply register in our media library and watch it for free. 🎬 Also take a look at out other Spotlight topics: 🔊 Eplan Spotlight – Standardisation 🔊 Eplan Spotlight - Service & Maintenance 🔊 Eplan Spotlight - Eplan Electric P8 🔊 Eplan Spotlight - Eplan Platform 2025 👉 Visit our media library now – the content is available for you on demand.
