    End-of-line testing for BMW eDrive #KUKA realized a #fully automated test system for testing up to eight different drive variants at the #BMW site in Dingolfing. The #system is divided into two independent test areas: In the first test, the electric drive is tested for its basic function and electrical safety. The second test area consists of performance tests, which are carried out with adapted load machines. In addition to mechanical #flexibility, the eDrive test system also offers a wide range of electrical #capabilities to test a wide variety of e-drives.     KUKA realizes complex battery pack assembly line In Foshan in southern China, #FAW-Volkswagen, the VW Group's reference factory for #electric vehicles, is now successfully producing automated battery packs thanks to KUKA. A particular challenge here is the implementation of the #demanding production steps. Over 100 KUKA industrial robots are integrated into the system. There are also testing devices and logistics using automated guided vehicles (AGVs).     Commissioning engineer Antonia Ritter plays a key role in the development of our products. With our KMR iisy, she made sure that all components interlock perfectly and that the robot works smoothly. 🦾💡    Antonia discovered her passion for robotics at a young age, inspired by her technology-loving brother. This passion deepened during her school years and led her to a dual study program in #mechatronics at KUKA.    Her tasks include not only the technical completion, but also the worldwide presentation of our new developments and international exchange. Antonia has been closely involved in the development of the KR iisy from the very beginning.     A new truck engine every 110 seconds Together with the #Scania plant in Södertälje (Sweden), #KUKA realized an assembly line for trunk engines. From the foundry to final assembly, Scania has all the key processes in commercial vehicle construction at its headquarters. To this end, KUKA has fully and partially automated 21 stations of the truck assembly line and designed them for #ergonomics. With the help of 15 robots in fully and semi-automated processes, as well as 13 fully automated stations, a new fuselage engine leaves the Scania assembly line every 110 seconds.
