Hulu Signs First-Look Deal With Journalist & Documentarian Jennings Brown

EXCLUSIVE: Hulu has signed a first-look deal with Jennings Brown, a documentary producer, podcaster, journalist, and founder of the production company Nocturne. 

Brown’s first investigative podcast “The Gateway: Teal Swan” was adapted into the docuseries The Deep End for Freeform in 2022. He served as a development executive producer on the project.

Brown also produced the “Revelations” podcast with Blumhouse and Spotify. “Revelations” followed Brown’s three years of reporting on allegations of sex abuse and trafficking within the Fellowship of Friends, an elite spiritual group, known for its award-winning winery. 

Brown is currently working on a project with HyperObject Industries for Hulu.

Previously, Brown worked as a senior reporter at Gizmodo and as an editor at Esquire. 

The deal was negotiated by WME and Ziffren Brittenham.
