Key Quote: “I’m Australian, but I’d never made a movie in Australia. I wanted to, and my mother was keen that I came back home for a bit, so I was looking for something I could do there. I found a documentary about two Scandinavian women who were working in an outback pub, and I thought it was kind of interesting. I hadn’t seen that point of view before. I had seen a lot of films about the Outback, but never through a female lens. So I thought, ‘That’s an interesting kind of jumping off point for a screenplay,’ and I started writing.” — Kitty Green
