Delaware Paid Leave Is Coming
From Sept. 1 to Dec. 1, 2024 — Required employers can set up an account in our user-friendly Delaware Paid Leave management system. Once registered, employers will be automatically enrolled. Other employers, depending on their size, may voluntarily enroll for Delaware Paid Leave or request to use a private plan.
Starting Jan. 1, 2025 — Payroll deductions can begin for employers who require their employees to contribute to the cost of Delaware Paid Leave.
Electronic Speed Safety Program to begin in I-95/Route 896 Construction Zone
The first 21 days of the program will be a warning period. After the warning period, registered vehicle owners receiving a first offense will receive a base violation of $20.00 and an additional amount is added for each mile per hour over the posted work zone speed limit in accordance with Del. C. §4169(c).
Fall Cover Crop Cost Share Sign-Up Period Through Aug. 30
The annual sign-up period for the Kent Conservation District’s Cover Crop Cost-Share Program – funded in part by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control – has opened and is to continue through Aug. 30.
