4 | Welcome to Hummingbird's full availability calendar. We know how important finding the right date is to you! We also know how complicated finding one can be. We hope this calendar provides all the information you need to find the right date and location for your event. We try to update this calendar as often as possible, but ask for your patience as we are not able to update everything immediately. | ||||||||

23 | Soft Holds | Challenges | |||||||
24 | - Grant a temporary first right of refusal on a date and location. | - Issued by signing an event agreement for a date and location that is currently held by another party (showing commitment to booking the date). | |||||||

26 | - Serve to give some protection while you discuss the venue options with your family as well as our vendors. | ||||||||
27 | - When challenged, a soft hold hold is given 48 hours to sign the event agreement or forfeit the date. | ||||||||
28 | - Expire after 14 days. | ||||||||
29 | - May be placed after taking a tour. | - The down payment is NOT collected until a challenge is successful. | |||||||
30 | - No money required, only a short form is needed to place a hold. | ||||||||
31 | - A challenge is unsuccessful if the party currently holding the date signs their agreement within the 48 hour window. The contract of the challenger will not be fully execute, and a new date will need to be requested. | ||||||||
32 | - Soft holds may still receive a formal "challenge". | ||||||||
33 | - You will be notified by email if a challenge has been issued for your soft hold. | ||||||||
34 | - Upon success, the down payment for a challenge becomes due | ||||||||
