This Chicago-based underground scenester performs trippy mutations on everything from cool jazz to prog-rock to Sergio Mendes bossa nova, though it’s sometimes hard to determine if O’Rourke’s sonic finger painting in Eureka is the work of an arch ironist or an earnest naif. Exhibit A: ”Women of the World,” a 10-minute plea for global girl power that’s so silly-sincere you have to give him points for sheer overblown audacity. B
