Video Review: 'Thunderbirds (Sets 1 and 2)'

Falling somewhere between the Flowbee and the Human Genome Project on the scale of human achievement is Supermarionation, the wonderfully bizarre puppet technology created by sci-fi auteur Gerry Anderson. And nowhere was this process better put to use than in Thunderbirds, a terrific ’60s TV series with plotlines (usually a variation on spaceship-in-distress) all but guaranteed to send an 8-year-old’s pulse racing.
